Psalms

1.1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scorners.

1.5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

1.6 For YHVH knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

2.1 Why do the nations rage, and the peoples mutter in vain?

2.2 The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers are gathered together, against YHVH and against his anointed.

2.3 We have cut off his customs and cast away his burdens from him.

2.4 YHVH who sits in heaven will laugh at them; he will mock them.

2.5 Then shall his enemies speak with their faces, and his chosen ones shall be dismayed.

2.6 And I have set my king upon Zion, my holy mountain.

2.8 Ask of me, and I will give the nations your inheritance, and the ends of the earth your possession.

2.11 Serve YHVH with fear and worship with trembling.

3.2 O YHVH, how many are my enemies! Many are they that rise up against me!

24.4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

24.5 He shall bear blessing from YHVH, and righteousness from his Alhym.

27.1 To David, O YHVH, my strength, and my salvation; whom shall I fear? O YHVH, the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

27.2 The wicked are among me to eat up my flesh. My enemies and my enemies have stumbled and fallen.

27.3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war rise against me, in this will I trust.

27.4 One thing have I asked of YHVH, that will I seek after. that I may dwell in the house of YHVH all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of YHVH, and to inquire in his temple.

27.5 For he will hide me in a shelter in the day of trouble; he will hide me secretly in his tent, he will raise me up in a rock.

30.2 I will exalt you, O YHVH, for you have brought me down, and my enemies have not rejoiced over me.

32.1 For David, a wise man, blessed is he who marries, a transgression that covers his sin.

32.2 Blessed is the man to whom YHVH imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

32.3 For I have spent myself in my groaning all the day long.

32.4 For day and night your hand is heavy upon me; my breasts are turned into the ruins of a summer palace.

32.5 I will confess my sin to you, and I will not hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to YHVH, and you have borne the iniquity of my sin.

32.6 Therefore let every faithful one pray to you in a time of trouble, for many waters cannot reach him.

33.1 Let the righteous sing praises to YHVH, for the upright are worthy of praise.

33.2 Give thanks to YHVH with the harp, with the lyre of ten, make melody to him.

33.4 For the word of YHVH is right, and all his works are faithful.

33.5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of YHVH.

33.6 By the word of YHVH the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.

33.7 The waters of the sea are gathered together, and the depths are hidden.

33.8 Let all the earth fear YHVH; let all the inhabitants of the world dwell in him.

33.9 For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood firm.

33.10 YHVH frustrates the counsel of the nations, he overthrows the thoughts of the peoples.

33.11 The counsel of YHVH shall stand for ever. the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

34.16 The eyes of YHVH are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.

34.17 The face of YHVH is against evildoers, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.

34.18 They cried out, and YHVH heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles.

34.19 YHVH is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

34.20 Many are the evils of the righteous, but YHVH delivers him from them all.

34.21 He kept all his bones; not one of them was broken.

34.22 The death of the wicked is evil, and those who hate the righteous will be blamed.

34.23 YHVH redeems the soul of his servants. and none that trust in him shall be condemned.

35.1 For David, YHVH has made my adversaries bread, my bread.

35.2 Hold fast the shield and the shield, and stand firm with my help.

35.3 And he drew a spear, and closed it against my pursuers. he said unto my soul, I will deliver thee.

36.5 He who thinks evil on his bed, he sets himself on a path that is not good, he does not abhor evil.

37.12 The wicked plot against the righteous and gnaw at him with his teeth.

37.14 The wicked have drawn the sword, and their bow is in the way, to cast down the poor and needy, to slay the upright in the way.

37.15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

37.16 Better is a little for a righteous man than a multitude of wicked men.

37.17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but YHVH will uphold the righteous.

37.18 YHVH knoweth the days of the innocent. and their inheritance shall be for ever.

37.19 They will not be thirsty in the time of trouble, and in the days of famine they will be satisfied.

37.20 For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of YHVH shall be as the smoke of a burning bush.

37.21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous is gracious and gives.

37.22 For those who bless him will inherit the land, but those who curse him will be cut off.

37.23 The steps of a man are prepared by YHVH, and he delights in his way.

37.24 Though he fall, he shall not be cast down. for YHVH upholdeth his hand.

37.25 I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

37.26 All day long he is gracious and merciful, and his seed is blessed.

37.27 Depart from evil and do good, and dwell forever.

37.28 For YHVH loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints for ever. they are preserved. but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

37.29 The righteous will inherit the land and live forever on it.

37.30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks judgment.

37.31 The law of his Alhym is in his heart; he shall not stumble; his happiness shall be in him.

37.32 The wicked watches the righteous and seeks to kill him.

37.33 YHVH will not abandon us in his hand, nor condemn us in his judgment.

38.3 For your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has fallen upon me.

38.4 There is no death in my flesh because of your wrath; there is no peace in me because of my sin.

40.5 Blessed is the man whose trust is in YHVH, and who does not turn to false gods or false deities.

40.6 Many have you done, O Lord my Alhym, in your wonderful works, and your thoughts toward us are not worthy of you. I will tell you, and I will speak for myself.

40.7 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; burnt offering and sin offering you did not ask for.

40.8 Then said I, Behold, I come in the roll of a book, and it is written of me.

40.9 I delight to do your will, O Alhym, and your law is within my heart.

40.10 I have served righteousness in a great multitude, behold, I have not restrained my lips; O YHVH, you know.

40.11 I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not denied your lovingkindness and your truth to a great multitude.

40.12 O YHVH, do not withhold your compassion from me; your lovingkindness and your truth will always sustain me.

41.2 Blessed is the man of understanding, but the poor. YHVH shall deliver him in the day of evil.

41.3 YHVH shall preserve him, and keep him alive. he shall prosper him in the land. and set not your heart upon the soul of his enemies.

41.4 YHVH will sustain us on a sickbed; all his bed you have turned into a bed of sickness.

41.5 I said, O YHVH, be merciful to me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against you.

41.6 My enemies will say evil of me, When will he die and his name perish?

41.7 And if he come to see, he will speak vanity; his heart will gather iniquity; if he go out, he will speak.

41.8 All my enemies whisper together against me; they plot evil against me.

41.9 A word of wickedness is cast into him, and he that lieth shall rise no more.

42.4 My tears have been my bread day and night, while I say to myself all day long, Where is your Alhym?

42.5 These I will remember, and pour out my soul upon me. for I will go with them alone unto the house of Alhym, with the voice of joy, and with thanksgiving, with a joyful multitude.

42.6 Why should my soul be troubled, and why should I be dismayed? I will wait for Alhym, for the salvation of his countenance is yet to come.

42.7 O Alhym, my soul is troubled, therefore I will remember you from the land of Jordan and Hermon, from the height of sorrow.

42.8 Deep to deep calls at the sound of your trumpets; all your waves and your waves have passed over me.

49.17 Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich, for the glory of his house will increase.

49.18 For he will not take all with him when he dies, nor will his glory descend after him.

49.19 For his soul shall bless him in his life, and shall know that it shall be well with thee.

49.20 It will come to the generation of his fathers, and they will never see light.

49.21 A man who is wise and does not understand is like a beast that is silent.

50.1 A Psalm of Asaph. YHVH spake unto Alhym, and called the earth from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the clouds.

50.2 From Zion, the beauty of Alhym has appeared.

50.3 Our Alhym will come, and will not be afraid; a fire will devour before him, and a great fire will burn around him.

50.20 You will sit with your brother, you will speak with your mother's son, you will give pages.

50.21 These things you have done, and I have made them like unto death. for I am like unto thee, I will reprove thee, and set it before thine eyes.

50.22 Understand this, O Alhym, lest I be consumed, and there be none to deliver.

51.3 Have mercy on me, O Alhym, according to your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of your mercies, blot out my transgressions.

53.2 The wicked has said in his heart, "There is no Alhym." They have corrupted and abhorred the wicked. There is no one who does good.

89.52 For your enemies, O YHVH, have reproached you, who have reproached the footsteps of your anointed.

89.53 Blessed be YHVH for ever. Amen and Amen.

90.1 A prayer of Moses, the man of Alhym. O Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.

90.2 Before he brought forth his seed, or brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, thou art Alhym.

90.3 You sit down until you are oppressed, and you say, "Return, O people!"

90.4 For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and I keep it in the night.

90.5 Your streams will be like grass in the morning, and it will pass away.

90.6 In the morning it flourishes, but in the evening it withers and dries up.

90.7 For we are consumed by your anger, and we are terrified by your wrath.

90.8 Let our days be fulfilled before you; let us be hidden in the light of your countenance.

90.9 For all our days have turned aside in thy transgression. we are all as a rudder.

90.10 The days of our years are seventy years, or if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their multitude is labor and sorrow; for they are quickly consumed and carried away.

90.11 Who knows the fierceness of your anger, or the fear of your transgression?

90.12 To number our days, so declare and prophesy with a heart of wisdom.

90.13 O YHVH, how long will it be before you return? And have mercy on your servants.

90.14 We are satisfied with the morning of your steadfast love; we will sing and rejoice all our days.

90.15 We rejoiced according to the number of years we have endured, we have seen evil.

90.16 Your servants will see your work and guide their children.

90.17 And the favor of YHVH our Alhym is upon us, and the work of our hands he has established upon us, and the work of our hands he has established.

91.1 He shall dwell in the secret place of the Most High, in the shadow of him who shall complain.

91.2 He said to YHVH, "My refuge and fortress, my Alhym, in whom I trust."

91.3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the wilderness of death.

91.4 He will cover you with his wings, and under his wings you will find refuge, and his truth will be your refuge.

91.5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.

91.6 He will wander in the wilderness in darkness, he will plunder at noonday.

91.7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and a thousand at thy right hand shall not come nigh thee.

91.8 Look with your own eyes, and see the salvation of the wicked.

91.9 For you, O YHVH, are my refuge, O Alhym, who hast given me refuge.

91.10 No evil shall befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.

91.11 For he will give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

91.12 He will bear you up in his hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone.

91.13 You will tread on the thornbush and the hyena, you will trample on the hyena and the hyena.

91.14 For I have desired him, and will deliver him. I will exalt him, because he knoweth my name.

91.15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will deliver him in trouble, and honor him.

92.2 It is good to give thanks to YHVH, and to sing praises to your name, O Most High.

92.3 To declare thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights.

92.4 On the leaves of the tenor, on the leaves of the harp, on the leaves of wisdom on the lyre.

92.5 For I, O YHVH, have made you glad through your work, through the works of your hands.

92.6 How great are your works, O YHVH! how deep are your thoughts!

92.7 No fool knows this, and no fool understands it.

92.8 The wicked flourish like grass, and all the workers of iniquity spring up, to their destruction forever and ever.

92.9 But you, O YHVH, are exalted forever.

92.10 For behold, thine enemies, O YHVH, behold, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be cut off.

92.11 And he made them like the horns of a stranger, with fresh oil.

92.12 And my eye shall see my oxen, and mine ear shall hear them that rise up against me.

92.13 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, like a cedar in Lebanon; he will flourish like a cedar in Lebanon.

92.14 Those planted in the house of YHVH will flourish in the courts of our Alhym.

92.15 They will again flourish in their return, fertile and fresh.

92.16 To say, "YHVH is upright, my enemies will not rise against him."

93.1 YHVH is the King of glory, YHVH is the King of glory; he is strong

93.2 Your throne is established from everlasting.

93.3 The rivers of YHVH are lifted up; the rivers of their voice are lifted up; the rivers of the brooks are lifted up.

93.4 The mighty waves of the mighty sea are like the waves of the mighty sea in the height of YHVH.

93.5 Your witnesses are very faithful to your house; YHVH is holy forever.

94.1 To the vengeance of YHVH, to the vengeance of YHVH he has appeared.

94.2 He who has brought judgment upon the earth, he will repay the proud.

94.3 How long, O YHVH, will the wicked be exalted? How long will the wicked be exalted?

94.4 They will utter and speak great things; all the workers of iniquity will speak.

94.5 Your people, O YHVH, are oppressed, and your inheritance is afflicted.

94.6 They will kill the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

94.7 And they said, YHVH seeth not, neither understandeth the Alhym of Jacob.

94.8 Hearken unto the cities among the people, and ye fools, when will ye understand?

94.9 He who planted the ear, shall he not hear? He who formed the eye, shall he not see?

94.10 He who afflicts the nations will not prove him who teaches a man knowledge.

94.11 YHVH knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

94.12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O YHVH, and teach us your law.

94.13 To keep him from the days of evil, until the wicked perish.

94.14 For YHVH will not forsake his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

94.15 For judgment shall return unto righteousness, and after it shall all the upright in heart.

94.16 Who will rise up for me with the wicked? Who will stand for me with the workers of iniquity?

94.17 If YHVH had not helped me, my soul would have been like a neighbor.

94.18 If I say, My feet are weak, your lovingkindness, O YHVH, will sustain me.

94.19 As I have poured out my heart within me, your consolations delight my soul.

94.20 You are the throne of creation, the work of creation is upon me.

94.21 They will seek the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

94.22 And YHVH shall be my strength, and my Alhym my refuge.

94.23 And he will bring upon them their own violence, and their own evil. he will consume them, O YHVH our Alhym, consume them.

95.1 Come, let us sing to YHVH, let us make a joyful noise to the rock of his salvation.

95.2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving; let us sing praises to him.

95.3 For YHVH is a great Alhym, and a great King above all gods.

95.4 In whose hand are the foundations of the earth, and the foundations of the mountains.

95.5 The sea is his, and he made it; his hands formed the dry land.

95.6 Come, let us worship and kneel before YHVH, let us worship.

95.7 For he is our Alhym, and we are his shepherd and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you obey his voice,

95.8 Do not harden your hearts, as in the day of the rebellion in the wilderness.

95.10 Forty years I will restrain the generation, and say, They are a people of erring heart, and they have not known my ways.

95.11 As I have sworn by my mouth, if they shall enter into my rest,

96.1 Sing to YHVH a new song; sing to YHVH, all the earth.

96.2 Sing to YHVH, bless his name, O flesh, for his salvation from day to day.

96.3 Declare his glory among the nations, his wonders among all peoples.

96.4 For great is YHVH, and greatly to be praised. he is terrible above all gods.

96.5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but YHVH made the heavens.

96.6 Majesty and splendor are before him; strength and splendor are in his temple.

96.7 Ascribe to YHVH, you families of the peoples, ascribe to YHVH glory and strength.

96.8 Give to YHVH the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts.

96.9 Worship YHVH in the splendor of his holiness. fear him, all the earth.

96.10 They said among the nations, “YHVH is the King, the earth is in its right hand; do not let the peoples turn back from their right ways.”

96.11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and be filled with

96.12 Let my glory be exalted, and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

96.13 Before YHVH, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth; he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his faithfulness.

97.1 YHVH is the King of the earth; let many isles be glad.

97.2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; justice and judgment are the foundation of his throne.

97.3 A fire goes before him, and burns around his enemies.

97.4 The world saw his light, and the earth began to shine.

97.5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of YHVH, at the presence of YHVH of the whole earth.

97.6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.

97.7 All the servants of idols shall be dried up, who boast in idols; all the gods shall bow down to him.

97.8 Zion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah were glad because of your judgments, O YHVH.

97.9 For you, O YHVH, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.

97.10 Those who love YHVH hate evil. He preserves the souls of his saints from the hand of the wicked. He delivers them.

97.11 Light is the seed of the righteous, and joy to the upright in heart.

97.12 Let the righteous rejoice in YHVH, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

98.1 A Psalm of David. Sing unto YHVH a new song. for he hath done wondrous things. his right hand, and his holy arm, have gotten him salvation.

98.2 YHVH has made known his salvation in the sight of the nations; he has revealed his righteousness.

98.3 Remember his mercy and his truth to the house of Israel. all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our Alhym.

98.4 Make a joyful noise unto YHVH, all the earth. break forth and make melody, and sing.

98.6 With trumpets and the sound of the horn, make a joyful noise before the King, YHVH.

98.9 Before YHVH, for he comes to judge the earth; he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

99.1 YHVH is king, let the nations be angry; he dwells between the cherubim, let the earth tremble.

99.2 YHVH is great in Zion, and exalted above all peoples.

99.3 They will praise your name, for it is great and awesome, holy.

99.4 And you, O king, love justice; you have established justice and righteousness in Jacob.

99.5 Exalt YHVH our Alhym, and worship at his feet; he is holy.

99.6 Moses and Aaron, his priests, and Samuel, calling on his name, called upon YHVH, and he answered them.

99.7 He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud, guarding his people, and giving them a law.

99.8 O YHVH our Alhym, you answered them, you were a Alhym of patience, and you avenged their iniquities.

99.9 Exalt YHVH our Alhym, and worship at his holy mountain. for YHVH our Alhym is holy.

100.1 A Psalm of Thanks Make a joyful noise unto YHVH, all the earth.

100.2 Serve YHVH with gladness; come before him with singing.

100.3 Know that YHVH he is Alhym; it is he who has made us, and not we ourselves, his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

100.4 His gates shall come with thanksgiving. his gates shall give thanks unto him. blessed be his name.

100.5 For YHVH is good. his mercy endureth for ever. his faithfulness endureth for ever.

101.1 A Psalm of David. Of mercy and judgment will I sing unto thee, O YHVH.

101.2 I will instruct her in the way of integrity. When will she come to me? Will she go with me, my beloved, in the midst of my house?

101.3 I will not set before my eyes any wicked work. my hatred shall not cleave unto me.

101.4 A stubborn heart departs from me; I will not know evil.

101.5 He that slandereth his neighbor secretly, him shall not eat with him that is haughty in eyes and proud in heart.

101.6 My eyes are on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a blameless way will serve me.

102.1 The prayer of the poor, when he is in distress, and his speech shall be poured out before YHVH.

102.2 O YHVH, hear my prayer, and my salvation shall come unto thee.

102.3 Hide not thy face from me in the day of my trouble. incline thine ear unto me in the day when I call. answer me speedily.

102.4 For my days are consumed in smoke, and my bones are consumed like a furnace.

102.5 My heart is smitten and withered like grass, because I forget the food of my bread.

102.6 At the sound of my groaning my soul cleaveth unto my flesh.

102.7 I was like a desert locust; I was like a cup of swords.

102.8 I have been diligent, and am like a solitary bird on the housetop.

102.9 All day long my enemies scorn me, and my boasters swear against me.

102.17 For YHVH has built up Zion, and his glory will be seen.

102.18 He turned to the prayer of the juniper, and did not despise their prayer.

102.19 Write this for the next generation, and the people who are created will praise YHVH.

102.20 For YHVH looked down from his holy height, from heaven he looked upon the earth.

102.21 Hear the groaning of the prisoner at the door of mortals.

102.22 To declare in Zion the name of YHVH, and his praise in Jerusalem.

102.23 To gather together the peoples and kingdoms, to serve YHVH

102.24 He answered in the way, his strength shortened his days.

102.25 He said to me, "Do not take me away in the midst of my days, in the generation of generations, your years."

102.26 Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

102.27 They shall perish, but thou shalt stand. and they all shall wax old as a garment. as a garment shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed.

102.28 You and he, and your years will never end.

102.29 The children of thy servants shall dwell, and their seed shall be established before thee.

103.1 For David. My soul blesses YHVH; all my being blesses his holy name.

103.8 YHVH is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness.

103.9 An adversary will not prevail, nor will he be defeated forever.

103.10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

103.11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

103.12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from him.

103.13 As a father has compassion on his children, so YHVH has compassion on those who fear him.

103.14 For he knoweth our frame, remembering that we are dust.

103.15 Man is like grass, his days are like grass; like the bud of the field, so he will sprout.

103.16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place is known no more.

103.17 And the mercy of YHVH is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children.

103.18 To keep his covenant, and to remember his statutes to do them.

103.19 YHVH has prepared his throne in heaven, and his kingdom in all its glory.

103.20 Bless YHVH, his angels, mighty in strength, who do his word, obeying the voice of his word.

103.21 Bless YHVH, all his hosts, his servants, that do his will.

103.22 Bless YHVH, all his works, in all the places of his dominion. my soul bless YHVH.

104.1 My soul blesses YHVH; O YHVH my Alhym, you have greatly increased in majesty and splendor.

104.2 She is clothed with light like Solomon, she stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

104.3 YHVH is in the midst of the waters, he rides on the wings of the wind.

104.4 He makes his angels spirits, his ministers a burning fire.

104.5 He established the earth upon its foundations, it shall not be moved for ever and ever.

104.6 The deep is like a garment that covers it; the waters stand on the mountains.

104.14 He causes grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man, that he may bring forth bread from the earth.

104.15 And wine shall gladden the heart of man, to make the face brighter than oil. and bread shall sustain the heart of man.

104.16 The trees of YHVH shall be satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon which he hath planted.

104.17 Where the birds make their nests, the stork makes her home in the cypresses.

104.18 The high mountains are a refuge for the eagles, the rocks a shelter for the hares.

104.19 He made the moon for appointed times, and the sun knew its coming.

104.20 You will make darkness come, and there will be night, when all the beasts of the forest will be silent.

104.21 The infidels roar for prey, and seek their food from Alhym.

104.22 When the sun rises, they will gather them together and lie down in their dens.

104.23 Man went forth to his work and to his service until evening.

104.24 How manifold are thy works, O YHVH! in wisdom hast thou made them all. the earth is full of thy substance.

104.25 This is the great sea, wide and wide, and there is no number of small and great creatures.

104.26 There the ships shall go, this Leviathan, whom you have made to play with.

104.27 They will all turn to you, to give them their food in due season.

104.28 Give them abundance, open your hand and satisfy them with good things.

104.29 Hide your face, they will be terrified; take away their spirit, they will be dismayed, and they will return to their dust.

104.30 Send out your spirit, they will be created, and you will renew the face of the earth.

104.31 The glory of YHVH shall be for ever. YHVH shall rejoice in his works.

105.1 Give thanks to YHVH, call on his name, declare among the peoples his deeds.

105.2 Sing unto him, sing praises unto him, speak unto him of all his wondrous works.

105.3 Glory in his holy name. let the heart of them that seek YHVH rejoice.

105.5 Remember his wonders which he hath done, his judgments, and the judgments of his mouth.

105.6 The seed of Abraham his servant, the children of Jacob his chosen.

105.9 Who made a covenant with Abraham, and his oath to keep

105.10 And he confirmed it to Jacob for a law, to Israel for an everlasting covenant.

105.11 Saying, To thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.

105.12 When they were few in number, they dwelt in it.

105.13 And they went from nation to nation, from kingdom to people,

105.14 He did not allow anyone to oppress them, and kings rebuked them.

105.15 Touch not my anointed, and do not harm my prophets.

105.16 And there was a famine in the land. every staff of bread was broken.

105.17 He sent a man before them, the sold servant Joseph.

105.18 He bound his feet with fetters of iron; his soul came to him.

105.19 Until his word cometh, saith YHVH, thou hast bound him up.

105.20 He sent a king, and made him ruler over the nations, and opened it.

105.21 He is called master of his own house, and ruler over all our goods.

105.22 Let his princes be in his heart, and his elders be wise.

105.23 And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

105.24 And he multiplied his people exceedingly, and strengthened them above their enemies.

105.25 Their heart was turned to hate his people, to oppress his servants.

105.26 Moses sent his servant Aaron, whom he had chosen,

105.27 He put his signs in them, and tempted them in the land of Ham.

105.28 He sent darkness, and it grew dark; and they did not rebel against his word.

105.29 He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish.

105.30 Their land swarmed with frogs in their king's chambers.

105.31 He said, "And YHVH came, and the righteous came, in all their borders."

105.32 He gave them hailstones, and flames of fire in their land.

105.33 He struck their vines and their fig trees, and broke their border trees.

105.34 He said, "And the locusts came and devoured, and there was no number."

105.35 And he ate every herb in their land, and ate the fruit of their ground.

105.36 And he smote all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.

105.37 And he brought them out with silver and gold, and none of his tribes failed.

105.38 Egypt was glad when they left, for their fear had fallen on them.

105.39 He spread a cloud for a screen, and fire to light the night.

105.40 He asked, and his peace came, and he satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

105.41 Open the door, and let the waters flow; they obeyed the river.

105.42 For he remembered his holy word to Abraham his servant.

105.43 And he went forth with him in the wilderness, and brought forth his chosen ones.

105.44 And he gave them the lands of the heathen, and the labor of the nations they inherited.

105.45 For they shall keep his statutes, and his commandments shall they keep. Praise YHVH.

106.1 Hallelujah! Give thanks to YHVH, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

106.2 Who can recount the mighty acts of YHVH? Who can declare all his praise?

106.3 Blessed is he who keeps judgment, who does righteousness at all times.

106.4 Remember me, O YHVH, in the favor of your people; visit me in your salvation.

106.5 To see the good of thy chosen, to rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, to glory with thine inheritance.

106.6 We have sinned with our fathers, we have done wickedly.

106.7 Our fathers in Egypt understood not thy wonders, they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled against the sea in the Red Sea.

106.8 And he saved them for his name's sake, to declare his power.

106.9 And he rebuked the Red Sea, and destroyed it, and led you through the depths as in the wilderness.

106.10 And he saved them from the hand of the enemy, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

106.11 And the waters covered their borders; not one of them remained.

106.12 And they that believe his words shall sing his praise.

106.13 They hastened to forget his works, they did not wait for his counsel.

106.14 And they lusted in the wilderness, and fled to Bishimon.

106.15 And he gave them their request, and sent leanness into their soul.

106.16 And they envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the saint of YHVH.

106.17 The earth opened and swallowed them up, and covered the congregation of Abiram.

106.18 And a fire shall kindle in their company, a flame shall burn the wicked.

106.19 They will make a calf out of the sword and worship a mask.

106.20 And they changed their glory into the form of an ox that eats grass.

106.21 They forgot their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt.

106.22 Marvels in a hot land, terrible things on the Red Sea.

106.23 And he said, "I will destroy them, except Moses, his chosen, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying."

106.24 And they were weary of the pleasant land; they believed not his word.

106.25 And they slew them in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of YHVH.

106.26 And he stretched out his hand against them to overthrow them in the wilderness.

106.27 And to scatter their seed among the nations, and their sojournings in the lands.

106.28 And they joined themselves unto Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

106.29 And they provoked wrath with their doings, and a plague broke out among them.

106.30 Then Phinehas stood up and interceded, and the plague was stayed.

106.31 And it shall be reckoned unto him for righteousness for ever and ever.

106.32 And they spake at the waters of Meribah, and it was evil with Moses for their sakes.

106.33 For they rebelled against his spirit, and he uttered it with his lips.

106.34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom YHVH had spoken.

106.35 And they mingled with the heathen, and learned their works.

106.36 And they shall serve their own souls, and they shall be a snare unto them.

106.37 And sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons

106.38 And they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the Canaanites, and the land was filled with blood.

106.39 And they defiled themselves with their deeds, and committed adultery with their doings.

106.40 The anger of YHVH was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.

106.41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen, and they that hated them ruled over them.

106.42 And their enemies were cut down, and subdued under their hand.

106.43 Many times he will deliver them, but they will turn away from their own counsel and perish in their own iniquity.

106.44 And he saw their distress when he heard their cry.

106.45 And he remembered his covenant for them, and comforted them according to the multitude of his mercies.

106.46 And he gave them mercy before all their captors.

106.47 Save us, O YHVH our Alhym, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise.

107.23 You who go to sea in ships, you who do business in many waters,

107.24 They have seen the works of YHVH, and his wonders in the deep.

107.26 The heavens shall ascend, the depths shall descend; their soul shall rejoice in evil.

107.27 They shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and all their wisdom shall be swallowed up.

107.29 He raises a storm into silence, and its waves are still.

107.30 And they were glad that they were quiet, and were comforted in their desire.

107.31 Let them give thanks to YHVH for his lovingkindness and for his wonders toward men.

107.32 And they shall exalt him in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of elders.

107.33 He makes rivers in the wilderness, and water for the thirsty.

107.34 A fruitful land for the salt, a land of evil for those who dwell therein.

107.35 He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into a place where water is found.

107.36 And the hungry shall dwell there, and they shall prepare a city of habitation.

107.37 And they sowed fields, and planted vineyards, and brought forth fruit of grain.

107.38 And he blessed them, and they multiplied exceedingly, and their multitude he did not diminish.

107.39 And they were few, and were consumed by the captivity of evil and sorrow.

107.40 He pours out contempt on the generous, and leads them astray in a way that is not right.

107.41 And he will lift up the poor from poverty, and make them like flocks of sheep.

107.42 The upright shall see it and be glad; and every one that riseth shall leap for joy.

107.43 Who is wise, and will keep these things, and will consider the lovingkindness of YHVH?

108.1 A Psalm of David.

108.2 My heart is set on Alhym; I will sing and make melody to my glory.

108.3 The harp awakens, and the lute awakens the dawn.

108.4 I will praise you, O YHVH, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.

108.5 For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth reaches to the skies.

108.6 Your glory, O Alhym, is above the heavens, and over all the earth.

108.7 That thy friends may be delivered, thy right hand and my cloud shall save them.

108.8 Alhym has spoken in his holiness. I will exalt you, I will divide Shechem, and I will measure the valley of Succoth.

108.9 Gilead is mine, Manasseh and Ephraim are mine, the chiefs of Judah are my strength.

108.10 Moab, you are a pot that washes in Edom; I will throw my shoes on you; Philistia, I will be afraid.

108.11 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will comfort me even to Edom?

109.18 And he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, and it came into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

109.19 Be to him as a garment that covers him, and as a girdle that is always girded about him.

109.20 This is a wicked work from YHVH, and it is evil in my soul.

109.21 But you, O Lord Alhym, have done for me for your name's sake; for your lovingkindness is good; save me.

109.22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is desolate within me.

109.23 We have gone as a shadow, we have been shaken like a locust.

109.24 My knees fail from fasting, and my flesh fails from fat.

109.25 And I was a reproach to them. they shall fear me, and their heads shall be scorned.

109.26 Help me, O YHVH my Alhym; save me according to your lovingkindness.

111.1 Praise YHVH, give thanks to YHVH with all the heart, in the secret assembly of the upright.

111.2 The works of YHVH are great; they are necessary for all their desires.

147.2 YHVH builds up Jerusalem; the outcasts of Israel will enter.

147.3 Heals the brokenhearted and binds up their sorrows.

147.4 He has numbered the stars, calling them all by names.

147.5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. his understanding is unsearchable.

147.6 YHVH comforts the humble, but humbles the wicked, the witnesses of the earth.

147.7 Answer YHVH with thanksgiving; sing praises to our Alhym with the harp.

147.8 Who covers the heavens with thick clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes the mountains sprout grass,

147.9 He gives the beasts bread for the children of Arabia, who call upon him.

147.10 He will not delight in the strength of the horse, nor will he delight in the legs of man.

147.11 YHVH delighteth in them that fear him, in them that hope in his mercy.

147.12 Praise YHVH, O Jerusalem; praise your Alhym, O Zion.

147.13 For he is strong in the doors of thy gates. he blesseth thy children within thee.

147.14 YHVH is your border, peace, milk of the wheat will satisfy you.

147.15 He sent forth his word unto the earth. his word runneth swiftly.

147.16 He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.

147.17 He casts out his handkerchiefs. before his face who can stand?

147.18 He sends out his word and melts them; his spirit settles them, and the waters flow down.

147.19 He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and his judgments to Israel.

147.20 He has not done so to any nation, nor has he known any judgment, O YHVH.

148.1 Praise YHVH, praise YHVH from the heavens; praise him in the heights.

148.2 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his host.

148.3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you stars of light.

148.4 Praise him, you heavens of heavens, and the waters above the heavens.

148.5 Let them praise the name of YHVH. for he commanded, and they were created.

148.6 And he established them for ever and ever, a statute that shall not pass away.

148.7 Praise YHVH from the earth, you crocodiles and all you deeps.

148.8 Fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind, he has done his word.

148.9 The mountains and all the hills, and all the fruit trees and all the cedars.

148.10 The beast, and every creeping thing, and winged fowl,

148.11 Kings of the earth, and all princes of the nations, and all judges of the earth.

148.12 Young men and old virgins with young men

148.13 Praise the name of YHVH, for his name alone is exalted. Give thanks above earth and heaven.

148.14 And he lifted up a horn for his people, and praise for all his saints. for the children of Israel with his army, praise YHVH.

149.1 Praise YHVH! Sing to YHVH a new song; his praise in the assembly of the saints.

149.2 Let Israel rejoice in Esau; let the children of Zion rejoice in their king.

149.3 Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing praises to him with the timbrel and harp.

149.4 For YHVH delights in his people; he will glorify the humble with salvation.

149.5 Let the righteous be exalted in glory; let them sing for joy upon their beds.

149.6 They have pride in their throats, and a two-edged sword in their hands.

149.7 To take vengeance on the nations, to rebuke the ungodly.

149.8 To bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with fetters of iron.

149.9 To execute judgment upon them is written. glory is to all his saints, O YHVH.

150.1 Praise YHVH, praise Alhym in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.

150.2 Praise him in his mighty acts; praise him for his greatness.

150.3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with the harp and lyre.

150.4 Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with cymbals and organ.

150.5 Praise him with the cymbals of the sound of the trumpet. Praise him with the cymbals of the trumpet.
