Psalms 1.1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scorners. 1.2 But his delight is in the law of YHVH, and in his law he meditates day and night. 1.3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, and his leaf shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 1.4 The wicked are not so, but are like a branch which the wind shakes. 1.5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 1.6 For YHVH knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. 2.1 Why do the nations rage, and the peoples mutter in vain? 2.2 The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers are gathered together, against YHVH and against his anointed. 2.3 We have cut off his customs and cast away his burdens from him. 2.4 YHVH who sits in heaven will laugh at them; he will mock them. 2.5 Then shall his enemies speak with their faces, and his chosen ones shall be dismayed. 2.6 And I have set my king upon Zion, my holy mountain. 2.7 Asaph, the law of YHVH, said to me, You are my son, today I have begotten you. 2.8 Ask of me, and I will give the nations your inheritance, and the ends of the earth your possession. 2.9 You will thunder against the tribe of iron, like a craftsman's vessel you will shatter them. 2.10 And now the kings are wise, the judges of the earth are removed. 2.11 Serve YHVH with fear and worship with trembling. 2.12 Kiss the bar, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way. for his wrath is about to burn. blessed is all that take refuge in him. 3.1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. 3.2 O YHVH, how many are my enemies! Many are they that rise up against me! 3.3 Many say to their soul, "There is no salvation for me in Alhym." 3.4 But you, O YHVH, are my shield, my glory, and the lifter up of my head. 3.5 I will cry with my voice unto YHVH, and he will answer me out of his holy hill, 3.6 I lay down and woke again, for YHVH sustained me. 3.7 I will not be afraid of the multitude of people around me, who have gathered against me. 3.8 Arise, O YHVH, save me, my Alhym. for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon my face. thou hast broken the two wicked men. 3.9 To YHVH, salvation is upon thy people; thy blessing is upon thee. 4.1 For the director of music, a psalm for David. 4.2 When I called, O Alhym, my righteousness answered me in trouble. You have enlarged me in mercy and heard my prayer. 4.3 Son of man, how great is my glory? Why do you love vanity? You seek a lie, a lie. 4.4 And know that YHVH will bring forth his holy ones; YHVH will hear when I call to him. 4.5 Be angry, and sin not. say in your heart upon your bed, and let your blood be a pillar. 4.6 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in YHVH. 4.7 Many say, "Who will fear us? Good, let the light of your face shine upon us, O YHVH." 4.8 You have given me joy in the time of their harvest, and their inheritance is abundant. 4.9 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O YHVH, will make me sit in safety. 5.1 To the choirmaster, a psalm of David. 5.2 Say, O YHVH, listen, and be wise. 5.3 Hearken unto the voice of my supplication, my king and my Alhym. for unto thee will I pray. 5.4 O Lord, hear my voice in the morning; in the morning I will prepare for you and wait. 5.5 For you are not a Alhym who desires evil, nor will you be punished for evil. 5.6 The wicked shall not stand before your eyes; you shall hate all workers of iniquity. 5.7 The lying words of the bloody man shall perish. and deceit is an abomination unto YHVH. 5.8 But I, in the multitude of your mercy, will come into your house; I will worship toward your holy temple in your fear. 5.9 O YHVH, uphold me in your righteousness, that I may walk uprightly in your way. 5.10 For there is no truth in his mouth. their heart is an open grave. their throat is slippery with their tongue. 5.11 O Alhym, they shall fall from their counsels, in the multitude of their transgressions they shall be confounded, because they have rebelled against thee. 5.12 Let all your servants rejoice in you forever; let them sing for joy, and let them be exalted above all. Let those who love your name be glad in you. 5.13 For you will bless the righteous, O YHVH, as the vine; you will adorn us with delight. 6.1 For the conductor on the eighth note, a Psalm of David. 6.2 O YHVH, rebuke me not in thy wrath, neither chasten me in thy wrath. 6.3 Have mercy on me, O YHVH, for I am afflicted. heal me, O YHVH, for I am in distress. 6.4 And my soul was greatly troubled, and I will not be afraid of YHVH, how long? 6.5 Return, O YHVH, deliver my soul. save me for thy mercy's sake. 6.6 For there is no memorial of you in Sheol; who shall give thanks to you? 6.7 I am weary with my sighing; I bathe every night my bed with my tears; I make my couch a bed of mourning. 6.8 My eyes have wasted away with anger; I have grown old with all my troubles. 6.9 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for YHVH has heard the voice of my weeping. 6.10 Hear my supplication, O YHVH; accept my prayer, O YHVH. 6.11 They were terrified and terrified, all my enemies sat down, they were terrified for a moment. 7.1 A Psalm of David, which he sang unto YHVH, concerning the words of Cush the son of Jemini. 7.2 O YHVH my Alhym, in thee have I put my trust. deliver me from all my persecutors, and save me. 7.3 Lest my soul be torn asunder like a lion, and there be none to deliver. 7.4 O YHVH my Alhym, if I have done this, if there is any iniquity in my hands, 7.5 If I have rewarded evil to my recompense, and delivered mine enemies empty-handed, 7.6 The enemy of my soul shall pursue and overtake me, and trample my life to the ground, and my honor shall lie in the dust. 7.7 Arise, O Lord, in your face, who beareth the transgressions of mine enemies, and cause me to hear the judgment which thou hast commanded. 7.8 A congregation of nations shall surround you, and shall ascend to the heights of your return. 7.9 YHVH is the judge of the nations. YHVH shall judge me according to my righteousness, and according to my reproach. 7.10 Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, and let the righteous be established. And Alhym tests the hearts and minds of the righteous. 7.11 Protect the upright in heart, for Alhym is your savior. 7.12 Alhym judges righteously and does not have wrath every day. 7.13 If his sword does not return, he will sharpen his bow and prepare a way. 7.14 And if he prepares instruments of death, his halves will be used for fuel. 7.15 Behold, wickedness shall bring forth mischief, and bring forth trouble, and bring forth lies. 7.16 A pit is dug, and it is dug, and it falls into the chaff, and it is worked. 7.17 His work shall return upon his own head, and his wrath shall come down upon his own crown. 7.18 I will give thanks to YHVH according to his righteousness, and sing praises to the name of YHVH most high. 8.1 For the conductor on the Gittith, a psalm of David. 8.2 O Lord our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Your glory is above the heavens! 8.3 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings you have ordained strength, that your adversaries may be subdued, to stop the enemy and the avenger. 8.4 For I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have established. 8.5 What is man that you are mindful of us, and the son of man that you care for us? 8.6 And you will make him a little less than Alhym, and you will crown him with honor and glory. 8.7 You will bring him down by the works of your hands, all who drink under his feet. 8.8 All the sheep and goats, and all the wild animals. 8.9 The birds of the air and the fish of the sea have passed through the ages. 8.10 O Lord our Alhym, how majestic is your name in all the earth! 9.1 To the conductor of the virgins of Laban, a psalm of David. 9.2 I will give thanks to YHVH with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. 9.3 I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praises to your name, exalted is your name. 9.4 When my enemies turn back, they will stumble and perish before you. 9.5 For you have executed judgments and justice, you have sat on the throne of righteous judgment. 9.6 The rebuke of the nations is the destruction of the wicked. their name shall live forever. 9.7 The enemy is consumed by swords forever, and cities are destroyed, their memory is lost. 9.8 And YHVH shall sit upon his throne for judgment for ever. 9.9 And he shall judge the world with righteousness, and shall judge the nations with equity. 9.10 And YHVH shall be exalted unto thee, even exalted in times of trouble. 9.11 And they that know thy name shall trust in thee. for thou hast not forsaken them that seek thee, O YHVH. 9.12 Sing to YHVH, O inhabitant of Zion; declare among the peoples his deeds. 9.13 For he has required blood, and has not forgotten the cry of the poor. 9.14 Have mercy on me, O YHVH; behold my affliction, O my Alhym; lift me up from the gates of death. 9.15 That I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will run unto thy salvation. 9.16 The nations have drowned in the chaff of Esau; they have entangled themselves in this net, their foot has been caught. 9.17 YHVH is known for his judgment, for he has done what his hands have done. He has struck down the wicked, and his understanding is broken. 9.18 The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget Alhym. 9.19 For the poor will not be forgotten forever, the hope of the humble will perish forever. 9.20 Arise, O Lord, let not man dare, let the nations be judged by your face. 9.21 YHVH taught them, and they knew that the nations were a people of the world. 10.1 Why do you, O YHVH, stand afar off, hiding in times of trouble? 10.2 In the flood of wickedness the poor shall be consumed, and they shall be taken in the devices of this wickedness. 10.3 For the wicked man glorifies his own soul's desire, and the wicked man despises YHVH. 10.4 The wicked is as proud as a lion, and he will not seek Alhym. all his devices are without Alhym. 10.5 His way shall be continually before him. thy judgments are against him. all his adversaries shall be ashamed of them. 10.6 He said in his heart, "I will not be angry with you for ever and ever, for I have not done evil." 10.7 Their mouth is full of deceit, and under their tongue is toil and violence. 10.8 He sits in ambush in the secret places, he kills with his eyes wide open, he hides himself in the darkness. 10.9 He will lie in wait in secret, like a lion in a den; he will lie in wait to snatch the poor; he will snatch the poor in his net. 10.10 And he bowed down, and fell with his arms low. 10.11 He said in his heart, "Forget it, O Alhym; hide your face, and do not see forever." 10.12 Arise, O Lord, lift not up thine hand; forget not the poor. 10.13 Why has the wicked man despised Alhym? He has said in his heart, "You will not be required." 10.14 She saw that you were in labor and anger, she looked to give you her hand, she left you an orphan, you were her helper. 10.15 Break the arm of the wicked and seek the wicked, but you will not find him. 10.16 YHVH is king forever and ever; the nations are destroyed from his land. 10.17 The desire of the humble is to hear, O YHVH, prepare their heart, and listen with your ear. 10.18 To judge the fatherless and the needy, that he may no longer cause a man to be put to shame on the earth. 11.1 To David, the winner, in YHVH I put my trust. How can you say to my soul, "Nodu, the bird, is a bird of prey?" 11.2 For behold, the wicked bend their bow, they prepare their bow, to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart. 11.3 For what has the righteous man done? 11.4 YHVH is in his holy temple. YHVH is in heaven his throne. his eyes behold, his eyelids try the children of men. 11.5 YHVH will test the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves wrath will hate his soul. 11.6 He will rain down on the wicked fiery furnaces and brimstone, and a scorching wind, the portion of their cup. 11.7 For YHVH is righteous; he loves righteousness; the upright shall look into his presence. 12.1 For the conductor on the eighth note, a psalm for David. 12.2 YHVH saved him, for he was perfect, because he had made the faithful one of men. 12.3 They will speak in vain to one another, with flattering tongues; they will speak in heart and in mind. 12.4 YHVH shall cut off all flattering lips, and a tongue that speaketh great things. 12.5 Who said to our tongue, We will magnify our lips with us, Who will rule over us? 12.6 From the cry of the poor, from the groaning of the needy, now will I arise, saith YHVH; I will cause him to be saved. 12.7 The words of YHVH are pure words, like silver tried in a refined earth, refined seven times. 12.8 You, O Lord, will preserve them, you will preserve them from this generation forever. 12.9 Around the wicked will be a vineyard of vileness for men. 13.1 For the conductor, a psalm for David. 13.2 How long, O YHVH, will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 13.3 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, sorrow in my heart all the day long? How long shall my enemy exalt himself against me? 13.4 YHVH my Alhym hath looked upon my clouds, he hath enlightened mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death. 13.5 Lest he say, My enemies, my enemies, shall know that I am dead. 13.6 But I have trusted in thy mercy. my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto YHVH, for he hath dealt graciously with me. 14.1 To the conqueror of David, the wicked said in his heart, There is no Alhym; they have corrupted themselves, they have abhorred slander, there is none that doeth good. 14.2 YHVH looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that sought Alhym. 14.3 All have gone astray together; there is none who does good, no, not one. 14.4 Do not all the workers of iniquity know that they eat the bread of YHVH, and do not call upon him? 14.5 There they feared, fearing that Alhym was in the generation of the righteous. 14.6 The counsel of the poor shall not be put to shame. for YHVH shall preserve him. 14.7 Who will bring salvation from Zion to Israel? When YHVH returns, his people will be saved. Jacob will be saved. Israel will rejoice. 15.1 A Psalm of David. O YHVH, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? and who shall abide in thy holy hill? 15.2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks the truth in his heart. 15.3 He has not slandered his neighbor, nor has he done evil to his neighbor, nor has he borne reproach against his neighbor. 15.4 He abhors what is abhorrent in his eyes, but honors those who fear YHVH. He swears to evil and does not repent. 15.5 He has not given his money for gain, nor taken a bribe against the innocent; he has done these things, and will never be deceived. 16.1 A Psalm of David. Preserve me, O Alhym, for I put my trust in you. 16.2 You said to YHVH, "You are my good Lord, but not to me." 16.3 For the saints who are in the land, and all my desires are great in them. 16.4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied, and they shall hasten. I will not avenge their princes of blood, neither will I take up their names upon my lips. 16.5 O YHVH, you are my portion and my cup, you are my portion and my lot. 16.6 Ropes have fallen upon me in my pleasures, even a heritage that has spared me. 16.7 I will bless YHVH, who comforts me even in the night, and who chastises me in my reins. 16.8 I have set YHVH always before me. for at my right hand I shall not be moved. 16.9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also shall dwell in safety. 16.10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol; you will not allow your faithful one to see corruption. 16.11 Make me know the way of life, seven joys in your presence, and pleasantness in your days forever. 17.1 A prayer of David. O YHVH, hear me, O righteous one. Hear my cry, O YHVH, and listen to my prayer, O YHVH, and listen to my prayer, O YHVH, without deceit in my lips. 17.2 My judgments come from before you; your eyes will see the upright. 17.3 You have searched my heart, you have searched my heart by night, but you have not found my purpose, and my mouth has not passed over. 17.4 For the works of man, by the word of thy lips have I kept the habitations of Peritz. 17.5 Support me in your circles, lest my steps fall. 17.6 I have called upon you, for you have answered my prayer. Listen to me, for you have heard my voice. 17.7 Your mercy is a deliverer, a refuge from the rebellious in your days. 17.8 Keep me as the apple of the eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. 17.9 Because of the wicked, my enemies, my soul, have surrounded me. 17.10 They closed their mouths and spoke loudly. 17.11 Blessed are they now that turn their eyes toward the land. 17.12 Let us imagine him as a lion prowling to devour, and as a pagan dwelling in secret places. 17.13 Arise, O YHVH, and let your face shine upon me; let your soul be delivered from the wickedness of your sword. 17.14 Your hand, O Lord, will bring death to the dead. Their portion in life, and your secret will fill their stomachs. They will be satisfied with their children, and they will leave their children to their children. 17.15 I will rightly grasp your face, I will swear by the vision of your image. 18.1 To the chief Musician, to David the servant of YHVH, who spoke to YHVH the words of this song in the day that YHVH delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul. 18.2 And he said, I will have mercy on thee, O YHVH, my strength. 18.3 YHVH is my rock, and my fortress, and my refuge. my fortress, in whom I trust. my shield, and the horn of my salvation is upon me. 18.4 I will call upon YHVH, and be saved from mine enemies. 18.5 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the rivers of Belial terrified me. 18.6 The cords of Sheol, the snares of death, compass me about. 18.7 In my distress I will call upon YHVH, and upon my Alhym I will save. He will hear my voice from his temple, and my cry before him shall enter into his ears. 18.8 And the earth shall tremble and quake, and the foundations of the mountains shall be moved and shaken, because he is wroth. 18.9 Smoke went up from his nostrils, and fire from his mouth devoured coals. They were kindled by him. 18.10 He bowed the heavens and came down, and mist was under his feet. 18.11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly, and soared upon the wings of the wind. 18.12 Darkness covered his surroundings, darkness covered the waters, thick clouds. 18.13 Manga against him, hail and coals of fire passed through his thicket. 18.14 And YHVH from on high shall thunder in the heavens, and his rod shall be hailstones and coals of fire. 18.15 And he sent forth his arrows, and scattered them, and with many lightnings, and they were astonished. 18.16 And the rivers of water were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered, at thy rebuke, O YHVH, at the blast of thine indignation. 18.17 He will send from on high, he will take me, he will give me drink from many waters. 18.18 He will deliver me from my fierce enemy and from my hater, for they have oppressed me. 18.19 He will go before me in the day of my hand, and YHVH will be my support. 18.20 And he will bring me out into a large place; he will deliver me, because he delights in me. 18.21 YHVH will reward me according to my righteousness; he will repay me with his own hands. 18.22 For I have kept the ways of YHVH, and have not wickedly done against my Alhym. 18.23 For all his judgments are against me, and his statutes I do not put away from me. 18.24 And I will be blameless with him, and I will be kept from my poverty. 18.25 And YHVH shall reward me according to my righteousness. now my hands are before his eyes. 18.26 With a righteous man you will show mercy, with a blameless man you will be shamed. 18.27 With a fool you will be revealed, and with a stubborn one you will be twisted. 18.28 For you will save the poor people, and you will humble the haughty eyes. 18.29 For you, O Lord my Alhym, will lighten my darkness. 18.30 For in you is a land of bands, and by my Alhym I will leap like an ox. 18.31 Alhym is perfect in his way; the word of YHVH is pure; he is a shield to all who take refuge in him. 18.32 For who is Alhym except YHVH? and who is a rock except our Alhym? 18.33 The Alhym of the Mazarin is strong and will make my path perfect. 18.34 He will make my feet like a pillar, and set me on a pedestal. 18.35 He trains my hands for war, and my arm is a bow of bronze. 18.36 And you will give me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand will sustain me, and your strength will increase me. 18.37 Enlarge my steps under me, that my steps may not stumble. 18.38 I will pursue my enemies and overtake them, and will not turn back until they are consumed. 18.39 I will crush them, and they will not be able to rise; they will fall under my feet. 18.40 And prepare me a strength for war, and prevail. arise under me. 18.41 And my enemies have given me a reproach, and my enemies have killed me. 18.42 Jesus is the one who saves, and there is no one who is like YHVH, and he is not like him. 18.43 And I will beat them as dust before the wind, and as the clay of the streets will I cast them out. 18.44 You will deliver me from the strife of the people; you will make me the head of a people I have not known; they will serve me. 18.45 With the ear they will hear me, and foreigners will deny me. 18.46 Foreigners will waste away and go beyond their boundaries. 18.47 YHVH lives and blesses my people, and exalts the Alhym of my people. 18.48 The Alhym who avenges me and speaks for me to the nations 18.49 Deliver me from my enemies, and from the violent man, and deliver me. 18.50 Therefore I will give thanks to you, O YHVH, among the nations, and sing praises to your name. 18.51 He raises up the salvation of his king, and shows mercy to his anointed, to David and to his seed forever. 19.1 For the conductor, a psalm for David. 19.2 The heavens declare the glory of Alhym; and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands. 19.3 Day to day utters speech, and night to night shews knowledge. 19.4 No one speaks, nor are there words, without their voice being heard. 19.5 He has gone forth from the beginning of the world, and from the end of the world, from their beginnings, to the beginning of the sun, and to the end of the world 19.6 And he came forth as a bridegroom out of his bosom, and as a mighty man to run to meet his guest. 19.7 His going forth is from the end of heaven, and his days are to their ends; and nothing is hid from his wrath. 19.8 The law of YHVH is perfect, converting the soul. the testimony of YHVH is sure, making wise the simple. 19.9 The precepts of YHVH are right, rejoicing the heart. the commandments of YHVH are good, enlightening the eyes. 19.10 The fear of YHVH is pure, enduring forever. The judgments of YHVH are true and righteous together. 19.11 Those who are more beautiful than gold and much rubies, sweeter than honey and the nectar of the stars. 19.12 Your servant also has been careful to guard them because of many things. 19.13 Who will understand the errors of the hidden ones of the people? 19.14 Let not the wicked of your servant rule over me, then with them I will be cleansed from much iniquity. 19.15 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before you, O YHVH, my strength and my redeemer. 20.1 For the conductor, a psalm for David. 20.2 YHVH will answer you in the day of trouble; the name of the Alhym of Jacob will exalt you. 20.3 He will send your help from the sanctuary, and sustain you from Zion. 20.4 All your offerings will be remembered, and your sacrifices will be filled with a basket. 20.5 He will give you your own heart and fulfill all your counsel. 20.6 We will sing of your salvation, and we will praise the name of our Alhym. The earth, and the fullness thereof, and the inhabitants thereof. 24.2 For he has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the rivers. 24.3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of YHVH? and who shall stand in his holy place? 24.4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 24.5 He shall bear blessing from YHVH, and righteousness from his Alhym. 24.6 This is the generation that seeketh thy face, Jacob, Selah. 24.7 Lift up your heads, you gates, and be lifted up, you doors of eternity, and the King of glory will come in. 24.8 Who is this King of glory, YHVH, the mighty and strong, YHVH, the mighty in battle? 24.9 Lift up your heads, you gates, and lift up your heads, you doors of the world, and the King of glory will come in. 24.10 Who is this King of glory? YHVH of hosts is the King of glory. Selah 25.1 To David. To you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 25.2 My Alhym, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies triumph over me. 25.3 Neither shall all thy lines be dried up. the treacherous shall be dried up empty. 25.4 Make known to me your ways, O YHVH; teach me your statutes. 25.5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are my Alhym, my salvation; I have waited for you all day long. 25.6 Remember your mercies, O YHVH, and your lovingkindnesses, for they are from everlasting. 25.7 Do not remember the sins of my youth and my transgressions, according to your lovingkindness; remember me for your goodness, O YHVH. 25.8 Good and upright is YHVH; therefore he will cast out sinners from the way. 25.9 He will guide the humble in judgment, and teach the humble his way. 25.10 All YHVH's covenants are lovingkindness and truth to the children of Israel, his covenant and his testimonies. 25.11 For your name's sake, O YHVH, you have forgiven my poverty, for it is great. 25.12 Who is the man that feareth YHVH? He will teach us the way that we choose. 25.13 His soul shall dwell in good, and his seed shall inherit the land. 25.14 The secret of YHVH is with them that fear him, and his covenant to make known unto them. 25.15 My eyes are ever on YHVH, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. 25.16 Turn to me and have mercy on me, for I am alone and poor. 25.17 The troubles of my heart have enlarged me, and brought me out of my distresses. 25.18 See my affliction and my toil, and bear all my sins. 25.19 My enemies see that they are many, and the hatred of those who hate me is fierce. 25.20 Preserve my soul and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I trust in you. 25.21 Create me in integrity and uprightness, for I hope in you. 25.22 Alhym redeemed Israel from all its troubles 26.1 Of David, O YHVH, judge me. for I have walked in my integrity. O YHVH, the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 27.2 The wicked are among me to eat up my flesh. Ascribe to YHVH, O ye sons of the gods, ascribe to YHVH glory and strength. 29.2 Ascribe to YHVH the glory due his name; worship YHVH in the splendor of holiness. 29.3 The voice of YHVH is upon the waters. the glory of YHVH is upon many waters. 29.4 The voice of YHVH is in power, the voice of YHVH in majesty. 29.5 The voice of YHVH breaks the cedars, and YHVH breaks the cedars of Lebanon. 29.6 And he made them leap like a calf of Lebanon, and rejoice like a ram of the Ram. 29.7 The voice of YHVH kindles flames of fire. 29.8 The voice of YHVH shall break forth a wilderness. YHVH shall break forth a holy wilderness. 29.9 The voice of YHVH breaks in pieces the strong holds, and uncovers the forests. and in his temple all say, Glory. 29.10 YHVH sat upon the flood, and YHVH sat upon the earth, and YHVH reigned forever. 29.11 YHVH is strong for his people; YHVH will bless his people with peace. 30.1 A Psalm of David, a song of dedication of the house. 30.2 I will exalt you, O YHVH, for you have brought me down, and my enemies have not rejoiced over me. 30.3 O YHVH my Alhym, I cried unto thee, and thou didst heal me. 30.4 O YHVH, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you have revived me from going down to the pit. 30.5 Sing to YHVH, O his saints, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 30.6 For a moment in his nostrils he lives in his desire. in the evening he spends weeping, and in the morning he is glad. 30.7 And I said in the wilderness, I will never be moved. 30.8 O YHVH, you have set it on the mountains of Az, you have hidden your face, I was terrified. 30.9 To you, O YHVH, I will call, and to my Lord I will make supplication. 30.10 What profit have I done with my blood? I have returned to the destruction of your land. Your truth will be revealed. 30.11 YHVH heard and had mercy on me; YHVH helped me. 30.12 You have turned my mourning into a dance for me; you have opened my bags and filled me with joy. 30.13 That glory may sing of thee, and not of blood. O YHVH my Alhym, I will praise thee for ever. 31.1 For the conductor, a psalm for David. 31.2 In you, O YHVH, I have put my trust, I will not be ashamed forever; in your righteousness deliver me. 31.3 Incline your ear to me quickly, save me; I would have made a stronghold for you, a house of fortresses to save me. 31.4 For you are my rock and my fortress; for your name's sake you will guide me and guide me. 31.5 Take me out of this net that they have hidden for me, for you are my stronghold. 31.6 Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O YHVH, in truth. 31.7 I have hated vain leavens. but I trust in YHVH. 31.8 I will declare and rejoice in your loving-kindness, for you have seen my affliction; you have known the troubles of my soul. 31.9 And you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set a place for my feet. 31.10 Have mercy on me, O YHVH, for I am in trouble. My eyes and my soul and my body are consumed with anger. 31.11 For my life is spent in sorrow, and my years in sighing. my strength is broken in poverty, and my soul is consumed. 31.12 I was ashamed of all my afflictions, and my neighbors were greatly afraid, and I was afraid of my knowledge. I saw outside and they fled from me. 31.13 I was forgotten as dead in heart; I was like a lost vessel. 31.14 For I have heard the tidings of many dwelling round about, that they have gathered together against me to take away my soul. 31.15 But I trust in you, O YHVH; I say, You are my Alhym. 31.16 Now is my hand in thine; deliver me from the hand of mine enemies and persecutors. 31.17 Make your face shine upon your servant; save me in your lovingkindness. 31.18 O Lord, I am not ashamed; for I have called upon you. The wicked are like the grave. 31.19 A widow's lips are lying, and the words spoken against the righteous are great in pride and contempt. 31.20 How great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you! You have worked for those who take refuge in you against men! 31.21 You will hide your face from the wrath of man; you will hide them in a shelter from the strife of years. 31.22 Blessed be YHVH, for his mercy has been wonderful toward me in a city of siege. 31.23 And I said in haste, I am cut off from before your eyes. surely you have heard the voice of my supplications in my salvation unto you. 31.24 Love YHVH, all his saints are faithful. YHVH will reward the proud for their treachery. 31.25 Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in YHVH. 32.1 For David, a wise man, blessed is he who marries, a transgression that covers his sin. 32.2 Blessed is the man to whom YHVH imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 32.3 For I have spent myself in my groaning all the day long. 32.4 For day and night your hand is heavy upon me; my breasts are turned into the ruins of a summer palace. 32.5 I will confess my sin to you, and I will not hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to YHVH, and you have borne the iniquity of my sin. 32.6 Therefore let every faithful one pray to you in a time of trouble, for many waters cannot reach him. 32.7 You have hidden a strait from me, you have made me a prey, you have surrounded me with a net. 32.8 I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my eyes. 32.9 Be not like a horse or a mule, which understandeth not the bit, nor the bridle that is to brake, lest it come near unto thee. 32.10 Many are afflicted by the wicked, but he who trusts in YHVH, mercy will surround him. 32.11 Rejoice in YHVH, and be glad, ye righteous. and let all the upright in heart be glad. 33.1 Let the righteous sing praises to YHVH, for the upright are worthy of praise. 33.2 Give thanks to YHVH with the harp, with the lyre of ten, make melody to him. 33.3 Sing to him a new song, play on joyful music. 33.4 For the word of YHVH is right, and all his works are faithful. 33.5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of YHVH. 33.6 By the word of YHVH the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth. 33.7 The waters of the sea are gathered together, and the depths are hidden. 33.8 Let all the earth fear YHVH; let all the inhabitants of the world dwell in him. 33.9 For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood firm. 33.10 YHVH frustrates the counsel of the nations, he overthrows the thoughts of the peoples. 33.11 The counsel of YHVH shall stand for ever. the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 33.12 Blessed is the nation whose Alhym YHVH has chosen as his own people. 33.13 YHVH looked down from heaven, he saw all the sons of men. 33.14 From the place of his sabbath he looked out upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 33.15 He has united their hearts, understanding all their actions. 33.16 A king is not saved by much strength, nor is a mighty man saved by much power. 33.17 The horse is a lie for salvation, and despite its great strength it will not escape. 33.18 Behold, the eye of YHVH is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy. 33.19 To save their souls from death and to keep them alive in famine 33.20 Our soul waits for YHVH; he is our help and our shield. 33.21 For in him our heart shall rejoice, because we have trusted in his holy name. 33.22 May your mercy, O YHVH, be upon us as we have been healed by you. 34.1 And David in his old age made his request before Abimelech, and he sent him away, and he went. 34.2 I will bless YHVH at all times, and his praise will always be in my mouth. 34.3 My soul shall make its boast in YHVH. the humble shall hear and be glad. 34.4 Let them magnify YHVH with me, and let his name be exalted together. 34.5 I sought YHVH, and he saved me from all my troubles. 34.6 They looked at him and were amazed, and their faces were not moved. 34.7 This poor man cried, and YHVH heard, and saved him out of all his troubles. 34.8 The angel of YHVH encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. 34.9 Taste and see that YHVH is good. blessed is the man that taketh refuge in him. 34.10 Let his saints fear YHVH. for there is no want to them that fear him. 34.11 The wicked shall be afflicted and hungry. but they that seek YHVH shall not lack any good thing. 34.12 Go, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of YHVH. 34.13 Who is the man who desires life, who loves days to see good? 34.14 Let your tongue utter evil, and your lips speak deceit. 34.15 Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. 34.16 The eyes of YHVH are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. 34.17 The face of YHVH is against evildoers, to cut off their remembrance from the earth. 34.18 They cried out, and YHVH heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles. 34.19 YHVH is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. 34.20 Many are the evils of the righteous, but YHVH delivers him from them all. 34.21 He kept all his bones; not one of them was broken. 34.22 The death of the wicked is evil, and those who hate the righteous will be blamed. 34.23 YHVH redeems the soul of his servants. and none that trust in him shall be condemned. 35.1 For David, YHVH has made my adversaries bread, my bread. 35.2 Hold fast the shield and the shield, and stand firm with my help. 35.3 And he drew a spear, and closed it against my pursuers. he said unto my soul, I will deliver thee. 35.4 They are withered and shriveled, they who seek my soul are turned back and dig up, they who plot my harm are turned back and dig up. 35.5 They shall be as stubble before the wind, and the angel of YHVH shall drive them away. 35.6 Let their way be dark and slippery, and the angel of YHVH pursue them. 35.7 For in vain they have hidden their net for me, in vain they have dug for my soul. 35.8 You will bring upon him a disaster he did not know, and the net he hid will catch him in the disaster he will fall into. 35.9 And my soul shall rejoice in YHVH, and shall rejoice in his salvation. 35.10 All my bones shall say, O YHVH, who is like unto thee? which delivereth the poor from him that is strong, and spoileth the needy and the poor from him that is strong. 35.11 Witnesses of violence will arise, whom I did not know, they will ask me. 35.12 He will repay me evil instead of good, which is a loss to my soul. 35.13 And I, in their nakedness, wearing sackcloth, answered with the fasting of my soul, and prayed upon my knees, and thou shalt return. 35.14 He bowed down like a brother to me, I walked like a mourner, like a potter who has been burned. 35.15 And my ribs rejoiced and were gathered together; the lame were gathered together upon me, and I knew it not; they were torn, and they bled not. 35.16 In my flattery I mocked the gnat that had fallen on me. 35.17 O Lord, how much more will you see my soul returning from the burdens of those who are unfaithful to me alone? 35.18 I will praise you in a great congregation; in a mighty nation I will praise you. 35.19 Let not my false enemies rejoice over me, who without cause wink their eyes. 35.20 For they speak not peace, and for the times of the land they speak deceitful words. 35.21 And they opened their mouths wide against me, saying, Brother, brother, our eyes have seen it. 35.22 You have seen, O YHVH, do not be deaf; O Lord, do not be far from me. 35.23 Awaken and awaken to the judgments of my Alhym, and YHVH to my adversary. 35.24 Judge me according to your righteousness, O YHVH my Alhym, and let them not rejoice over me. 35.25 Let them not say in their hearts, "Our brother is our soul." Let them not say, "We have swallowed him up." 35.26 They shall be dried up and dug up together, they that rejoice over me shall be clothed with sackcloth, and they that magnify themselves against me shall be clothed with shame. 35.27 Let them sing and rejoice that delight in my righteousness, and say, Let YHVH be magnified for ever, which delighteth in the peace of his servant. 35.28 And my tongue shall sing of thy righteousness, and of thy praise all the day long. 36.1 To the victor, to the servant of YHVH, to David. 36.2 The wicked speaketh iniquity within my heart. there is no fear of Alhym before his eyes. 36.3 For he hath slipped into his eyes to find iniquity, to hate. 36.4 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. he ceaseth to know how to do good. 36.5 He who thinks evil on his bed, he sets himself on a path that is not good, he does not abhor evil. 36.6 O YHVH, your mercy is in the heavens, your faithfulness reaches to the skies. 36.7 Your righteousness is like the mountains; in your judgment the deep is great; man and beast, O YHVH, you save. 36.8 How precious is your lovingkindness, O Alhym! And men are under the shadow of your wings. 36.9 Your house will be filled with the fat, and your eternal stream will be restored. 36.10 For with you is a fountain of life, in the brightness of which light is seen. 36.11 Your lovingkindness extends to those who know you, and your righteousness to those who are upright in heart. 36.12 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked move me. 36.13 There the workers of iniquity fell, they were cast down, and could not rise again. 37.1 To David. Do not be jealous of the wicked, do not be jealous of the wicked. 37.2 For like the grass they will soon wither, and like the green herb they will wither. 37.3 Trust in YHVH and do good, O neighbor of the earth, and do evil with faith. 37.4 Delight yourself in YHVH, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 37.5 Commit your way to YHVH, trust in him, and he will do it. 37.6 And bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 37.7 Wait for YHVH and be content with him; do not be content with him who prospers in his way, with the man who devises schemes. 37.8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath; do not strive to do evil. 37.9 For the wicked shall be cut off. but they that fear YHVH shall inherit the land. 37.10 And yet a little while, and the wicked shall be no more. and thou shalt consider his place, and he shall not be. 37.11 But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. 37.12 The wicked plot against the righteous and gnaw at him with his teeth. 37.13 My lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming. 37.14 The wicked have drawn the sword, and their bow is in the way, to cast down the poor and needy, to slay the upright in the way. 37.15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. 37.16 Better is a little for a righteous man than a multitude of wicked men. 37.17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but YHVH will uphold the righteous. 37.18 YHVH knoweth the days of the innocent. and their inheritance shall be for ever. 37.19 They will not be thirsty in the time of trouble, and in the days of famine they will be satisfied. 37.20 For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of YHVH shall be as the smoke of a burning bush. 37.21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous is gracious and gives. 37.22 For those who bless him will inherit the land, but those who curse him will be cut off. 37.23 The steps of a man are prepared by YHVH, and he delights in his way. 37.24 Though he fall, he shall not be cast down. for YHVH upholdeth his hand. 37.25 I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 37.26 All day long he is gracious and merciful, and his seed is blessed. 37.27 Depart from evil and do good, and dwell forever. 37.28 For YHVH loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints for ever. they are preserved. but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 37.29 The righteous will inherit the land and live forever on it. 37.30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks judgment. 37.31 The law of his Alhym is in his heart; he shall not stumble; his happiness shall be in him. 37.32 The wicked watches the righteous and seeks to kill him. 37.33 YHVH will not abandon us in his hand, nor condemn us in his judgment. 37.34 Wait on YHVH and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. You will see the wicked being destroyed. 37.35 I have seen a wicked tyrant and a man who is like a young citizen. 37.36 And he passed by, and, behold, he was not. and I sought him, but I found him not. 37.37 Keep the blameless and see the upright, for the end of a man is peace. 37.38 And transgressions were destroyed together; the end of the wicked was cut off. 37.39 And the salvation of the righteous is from YHVH, his fortress in the time of trouble. 37.40 And YHVH will help them, and deliver them. he will deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they took refuge in him. 38.1 A Psalm of David to remind 38.2 O YHVH Alhym, rebuke me in your anger, and chasten me in your wrath. 38.3 For your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has fallen upon me. 38.4 There is no death in my flesh because of your wrath; there is no peace in me because of my sin. 38.5 For my transgressions are gone over my head like a heavy burden; they are heavier than I. 38.6 My people are ashamed and disgraced because of my sins. 38.7 I have been very troubled, I have wandered about all day long. 38.8 For my baskets are full of bread, and there is no death in my flesh. 38.9 I am faint and greatly distressed; I roar with the groaning of my heart. 38.10 O Lord, all my desire is before you, and my sighing is not hidden from you. 38.11 My heart is troubled; my strength has forsaken me; and the light of my eyes is no more with me. 38.12 My lovers and my friends will stand by me, and my relatives will stand far away. 38.13 And they that seek my soul shall be cut off, and they that seek my hurt shall speak deceit and deceit all the day long. 38.14 But I am like a deaf man who does not hear, and like a mute who does not open his mouth. 38.15 And I am like a man who does not hear, and in whose mouth there is no reproof. 38.16 For to you, O YHVH, have I put my trust. you will answer me, O Lord my Alhym. 38.17 For I said, Lest they should rejoice in my rod, that they should exalt me. 38.18 For I am a right-winger, and my pain is always before me. 38.19 For I will speak of poverty, I will be concerned about my sin. 38.20 And the enemies of life itself and their multitude are a liar. 38.21 And if he repays me evil for good, he will punish me for my persecutors with good. 38.22 Do not forsake me, O YHVH my Alhym, do not be far from me. 38.23 Come to my aid, O Lord, my salvation. 39.1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. 39.2 I said, I will guard my ways from sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth against the wicked, 39.3 I was silent, I felt good, and my pain was dulled. 39.4 My heart was hot within me, and as I meditated, a fire burned within me; I spoke with my tongue. 39.5 YHVH hath shewed me my end, and how long shall I live? I know what is past. 39.6 Behold, you have given me my days and my years, as if there were none before you, but all vanity, every man standing in a basket. 39.7 But a man walks in the shadow of death, but in vain he gathers up, and knows not who gathers them. 39.8 And now, what have I hoped for, O Lord? My hope is in you. 39.9 Deliver me from all my transgressions; do not put me in the reproach of the wicked. 39.10 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth. for thou hast done it. 39.11 Remove thy touch from me. for thy hand is sore upon me. 39.12 With reproof for iniquity thou afflictest a man, and he melteth away like a moth. but every man is vain, and every man is a fool. 39.13 Hear my prayer, O YHVH, and my cry; give ear to my tears. Be not deaf to me, for I am a stranger with you, a sojourner, as my fathers were. 39.14 Withdraw from me, and I will escape before I go and am no more. 40.1 For the conductor, a psalm for David. 40.2 I have waited patiently for YHVH, and he will incline his ear to me, and will hear my cry. 40.3 And he brought me up out of the miry clay of the pit, and set my feet upon a rock, the foundation of my happiness. 40.4 And he put a new song in my mouth, praise to our Alhym. many shall fear and awe, and shall trust in YHVH. 40.5 Blessed is the man whose trust is in YHVH, and who does not turn to false gods or false deities. 40.6 Many have you done, O Lord my Alhym, in your wonderful works, and your thoughts toward us are not worthy of you. I will tell you, and I will speak for myself. 40.7 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; burnt offering and sin offering you did not ask for. 40.8 Then said I, Behold, I come in the roll of a book, and it is written of me. 40.9 I delight to do your will, O Alhym, and your law is within my heart. 40.10 I have served righteousness in a great multitude, behold, I have not restrained my lips; O YHVH, you know. 40.11 I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not denied your lovingkindness and your truth to a great multitude. 40.12 O YHVH, do not withhold your compassion from me; your lovingkindness and your truth will always sustain me. 40.13 For evils have compassed me about, and I have not numbered my iniquities. I have not been able to see myself, even the hairs of my head, and my heart hath forsaken me. 40.14 YHVH was pleased to save me; YHVH was my helper. 40.15 Let them be dried up and dug together, that seek my soul. let them turn back, and let the devices of my enemies be destroyed. 40.16 They shall sit on the heels of those who say to me, "Brother, brother." 40.17 All who seek you will rejoice and be glad in you. They will say, “May YHVH be magnified forever, O my love, and may your salvation be forever.” 40.18 But I am poor and needy. YHVH will be my help and my refuge. thou art my Alhym, make no delay. 41.1 For the conductor, a psalm of David. 41.2 Blessed is the man of understanding, but the poor. YHVH shall deliver him in the day of evil. 41.3 YHVH shall preserve him, and keep him alive. he shall prosper him in the land. and set not your heart upon the soul of his enemies. 41.4 YHVH will sustain us on a sickbed; all his bed you have turned into a bed of sickness. 41.5 I said, O YHVH, be merciful to me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against you. 41.6 My enemies will say evil of me, When will he die and his name perish? 41.7 And if he come to see, he will speak vanity; his heart will gather iniquity; if he go out, he will speak. 41.8 All my enemies whisper together against me; they plot evil against me. 41.9 A word of wickedness is cast into him, and he that lieth shall rise no more. 41.10 Even a man of peace, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has increased his heel against me. 41.11 But you, O Lord, have mercy on me and raise me up, and I will repay them. 41.12 By this I know that you delight in me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. 41.13 And as for me, you uphold me in my integrity and set me before you forever. 41.14 Blessed be YHVH Alhym of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and amen. 42.1 To a wise leader for the sons of Korah 42.2 As a deer pant for the watercourses, so my soul pantth for you, O Alhym. 42.3 My soul thirsts for Alhym, for the living Alhym. When shall I come and see the face of Alhym? 42.4 My tears have been my bread day and night, while I say to myself all day long, Where is your Alhym? 42.5 These I will remember, and pour out my soul upon me. for I will go with them alone unto the house of Alhym, with the voice of joy, and with thanksgiving, with a joyful multitude. 42.6 Why should my soul be troubled, and why should I be dismayed? I will wait for Alhym, for the salvation of his countenance is yet to come. 42.7 O Alhym, my soul is troubled, therefore I will remember you from the land of Jordan and Hermon, from the height of sorrow. 42.8 Deep to deep calls at the sound of your trumpets; all your waves and your waves have passed over me. 42.9 By day YHVH will command his lovingkindness, and by night my people will sing a prayer to the Alhym of my life. 42.10 I will say to Alhym, my rock, why have you forgotten me? Why should I go under the pressure of the enemy? 42.11 With murder in my bones my enemies reproach me, saying to me all the day long, Where is your Alhym? 42.12 Why should my soul be troubled? and why should it be troubled over me? I will wait for Alhym, for I will yet know the salvation of my face and my Alhym. 43.1 Judge me, O Alhym, and plead my cause with a stranger, and deliver me from deceit and treachery. 43.2 For you are my Alhym, my fortress. Why have you forsaken me? Why do you go about in the oppression of the enemy? 43.3 Send out your light and your truth; they will guide me; they will bring me to your holy mountain and to your dwelling places. 43.4 Then I will go to the altar of Alhym, to Alhym, the joy of my life, and I will praise you with the harp, O Alhym, my Alhym. 43.5 Why should my soul be troubled? and why should it be troubled over me? I will wait for Alhym, for I will yet know the salvation of my face and my Alhym. 44.1 To the wise leader of the sons of Korah 44.2 O Alhym, we have heard with our ears; our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the days of old. 44.3 You have given the nations an inheritance, and you have made the nations taste evil, and you have sent them away. 44.4 For they did not inherit the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your countenance, because you desired it. 44.5 You are the King of Alhym, commanding the salvation of Jacob. 44.6 In you our enemies will be defeated; in your name we will be defeated. 44.7 For I have not sought safety, and my sword will not save me. 44.8 For we were delivered from our enemies, and from the shame of our enemies. 44.9 In Alhym we praise him all the day long, and his name is praised forever. 44.10 You have rejected and rejected us, and you will not go out with our armies. 44.11 Turn us back from our enemies and from those who hate us, who have destroyed us. 44.12 You will be like sheep for food, and our descendants will be among the nations. 44.13 You will sell your people without capital, and you will not increase their prices. 44.14 You have made us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those around us. 44.15 You will make us a proverb among the nations, a nation that shakes its head without a nation. 44.16 All day long I have spoken against myself, and you have covered my face with your cloak. 44.17 From a voice that reproaches and reviles against the enemy and takes revenge. 44.18 All this has come upon us, yet we have not forgotten you, nor have we lied in your covenant. 44.19 We will not turn back from our son, and we will be blessed by your presence. 44.20 For we have been crushed in the place of jackals, and you have covered us with idols. 44.21 If we have forgotten the name of our Alhym, or spread out our hands to a strange god, 44.22 Will not Alhym search this out, for he knows the secrets of the heart? 44.23 For we have been killed all day long for you; we have been counted as sheep for the slaughter. 44.24 Awake, why do you sleep? Lord of the awakening, do not abandon it forever. 44.25 Why do you hide your face and forget our answer and our cry? 44.26 For our soul is turned to dust, our belly cleaveth to the earth. 44.27 Come, help us, and redeem us for your loving-kindness’ sake. 45.1 To the chief conductor of the harp, a song of friendship, for the sons of Korah, a wise man. 45.2 My heart murmured a good thing, saying, I will speak to the king, my tongue is like a swift pen, a writer. 45.3 O thou fairest among men, grace is poured into thy lips. therefore Alhym blesseth thee for ever. 45.4 Gird your sword upon your thigh, O mighty one, and be strong in your way. 45.5 And the way is prosperous, riding on the word of truth and humility of righteousness, and your terrible laws are at your right hand. 45.6 Your arrows are sharp, nations will fall under your power, in the hearts of the king's enemies. 45.7 Your throne, O Alhym, is forever and ever. The descendants of Esau are the descendants of your kingdom. 45.8 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore Alhym, your Alhym, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows. 45.9 Bitterness and the tents of bitterness are all your borders, from the temples of ivory to the houses of your joy. 45.10 The daughters of kings have visited you, and the valley stands at your right hand in the valley of Ophir. 45.11 Hear, daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear, and forget thy people, and thy father's house. 45.12 And the king shall see thy beauty. for he is thy lord. and thou shalt bow down unto him. 45.13 And the daughter of Tyre, with an offering, shall the face of the ten nations be filled. 45.14 All the splendor of a king's daughter is within her, she is clothed in gold settings. 45.15 For the weaving of the king's garments, virgins are brought to thee after her, her companions are brought to thee. 45.16 We will be led with joy and gladness; we will come into the king's palace. 45.17 Your sons will be in place of your fathers, and you will be appointed as princes in all the land. 45.18 I will make mention of your name in all generations; therefore the peoples will praise you forever and ever. 46.1 To the chief Musician on the virgins of Korah. 46.2 Alhym is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 46.3 Therefore I will not be seen in the removal of the earth, nor in the removal of mountains in the heart of the seas. 46.4 He shall roar, he shall roar with his waters, the mountains shall tremble with his overflowing waters. 46.5 The river and its streams shall rejoice, the city of Alhym, the holy dwelling place of the Most High. 46.6 Alhym is near, do not be afraid; Alhym will help you to turn back. 46.7 He made nations tremble, and kingdoms tremble; he gave his voice, and the earth melted. 46.8 YHVH of hosts is with us; the Alhym of Jacob is our refuge. 46.9 Come, behold the works of YHVH, which he hath made famous in the earth. 46.10 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and cuts off the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. 46.11 Be still, and know that I am the Alhym of the nations, the Alhym of the earth. 46.12 YHVH of hosts is with us, the Alhym of Jacob is exalted over us; 47.1 For the director of music for the sons of Korah. A psalm. 47.2 Let all the peoples clap their hands; let them shout to Alhym with a loud voice. 47.3 For YHVH Most High is terrible, a great King over all the earth. 47.4 He shall speak nations under us, and peoples under our feet. 47.5 He will choose for us our inheritance, the Mighty One of Jacob, whom he loved in peace. 47.6 Alhym has gone up with a shout, YHVH with the sound of a trumpet. 47.7 Sing to Alhym, sing, sing to our King, sing. 47.8 For Alhym, the King of all the earth, is a wise man. 47.9 Alhym is king over the nations; Alhym sits on his holy throne. 47.10 The nobles of the nations are gathered together with the Alhym of Abraham. for Alhym is the protector of the earth, and very high. 48.1 A song of praise for the sons of Korah. 48.2 Great is YHVH, and greatly to be praised in the city of our Alhym, in the mountain of his holiness. 48.3 Beautiful scenery, the whole land, Mount Zion, the northern part of Kirjath Melech Rab. 48.4 Alhym is known in her palaces to the utmost. 48.5 For behold, the kings are gathered together, they pass by together. 48.6 They saw it, they were astonished, they were terrified, they made haste. 48.7 Their hold trembled there, as a woman in labor. 48.8 With the east wind you will break the ships of Tarshish. 48.9 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of YHVH of hosts. in the city of our Alhym, Alhym shall establish it for ever. 48.10 O Alhym, let your lovingkindness be in the midst of your temple. 48.11 As is your name, O Alhym, so is your praise to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness. 48.12 Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad because of your judgments. 48.13 They have surrounded Zion, they have counted her towers. 48.14 Set your heart on the top of her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation. 48.15 For this is Alhym, our Alhym for ever and ever. he will guide us even unto death. 49.1 For the director of the music for the sons of Korah. A psalm. 49.2 Hear this, all you nations; listen, all you inhabitants of Iron. 49.3 Both men and the sons of man together, rich and poor. 49.4 My mouth will speak wisdom, and my heart will meditate on understanding. 49.5 I will incline my ear to the psalm, I will open my ears to the psalm of my heart. 49.6 Why should I fear in the days of evil, when iniquity shall follow me? 49.7 Those who trust in their strength and their multitude will be praised. 49.8 A brother shall not be redeemed, neither shall any man give unto Alhym his inheritance. 49.9 And the ransom of their soul is precious, and ceaseth for ever. 49.10 And he shall live for ever, and shall not see corruption. 49.11 For he seeth that the wise shall die together. the fool and the fool shall perish, and leave their heritage to others. 49.12 Their closeness to the world is their dwelling place from generation to generation; they are called by their names on earth. 49.13 And a man who visits without rest is likened to a beast that is silent. 49.14 This is their way as a basket to them, and after them they will desire a basket in their mouths. 49.15 Like sheep to Sheol, they drink the blood of death, and go down to Sheol, and the righteous go down to Sheol, and the people are scattered. 49.16 But Alhym will redeem my soul from the hand of Saul, for he will take me away as a basket. 49.17 Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich, for the glory of his house will increase. 49.18 For he will not take all with him when he dies, nor will his glory descend after him. 49.19 For his soul shall bless him in his life, and shall know that it shall be well with thee. 49.20 It will come to the generation of his fathers, and they will never see light. 49.21 A man who is wise and does not understand is like a beast that is silent. 50.1 A Psalm of Asaph. YHVH spake unto Alhym, and called the earth from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the clouds. 50.2 From Zion, the beauty of Alhym has appeared. 50.3 Our Alhym will come, and will not be afraid; a fire will devour before him, and a great fire will burn around him. 50.4 He will call to the heavens above and to the earth to judge his people. 50.5 Gather together to me my faithful ones, my covenant people, my sacrifice to me. 50.6 And the heavens shall say, It is Alhym that judgeth, He is the judge. 50.7 Hear, my people, and speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you, O Alhym, your Alhym. 50.8 I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices, nor will I continually rebuke you for your offerings. 50.9 I will not take a bull from your house, nor a bullock from your folds. 50.10 For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle upon a thousand hills. 50.11 I knew every bird of the mountains and the birds that moved near me. 50.12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for I have the world and its fullness. 50.13 I will eat the flesh of warriors and drink the blood of warriors. 50.14 Offer to Alhym a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. 50.15 And call upon me in the day of trouble. I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. 50.16 And to the wicked Alhym said, What hast thou to do with me to declare my statutes, and to take my covenant upon thy mouth? 50.17 But you hate discipline and cast my words behind you. 50.18 If you see a thief and agree with him and with adulterers, you will have your share. 50.19 You have sent forth your mouth with evil, and your tongue with deceit. 50.20 You will sit with your brother, you will speak with your mother's son, you will give pages. 50.21 These things you have done, and I have made them like unto death. for I am like unto thee, I will reprove thee, and set it before thine eyes. 50.22 Understand this, O Alhym, lest I be consumed, and there be none to deliver. 50.23 He will honor me with a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and there he will show us the way to the salvation of Alhym. 51.1 For the conductor, a psalm for David. 51.2 When Nathan the prophet came to him, as he came to Bathsheba, 51.3 Have mercy on me, O Alhym, according to your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of your mercies, blot out my transgressions. 51.4 Wash me often from my affliction, and cleanse me from my sin. 51.5 For I acknowledge my transgressions, and I have sinned continually against myself. 51.6 Against you only have I sinned, and done evil in your sight. that you may be justified in your words, and that you may be justified in your judgment. 51.7 Surely I have been defiled in iniquity, and my mother has brought me up in sin. 51.8 Truth is the desire of confidence, and wisdom alone will make me know. 51.9 You will wash me with moss, and I will be clean; you will wash me with snow, and I will be white. 51.10 Make me hear joy and gladness; the bones of the dead shall be glad. 51.11 Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. 51.12 Create in me a clean heart, O Alhym, and renew a right spirit within me. 51.13 Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy spirit from me. 51.14 Answer me, O Lord, with joy, and strengthen me with a generous spirit. 51.15 I will teach transgressions thy ways, and sinners shall return unto thee. 51.16 Deliver me from bloodshed, O Alhym, O Alhym of my salvation. let my tongue sing of thy righteousness. 51.17 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare your praise. 51.18 For you do not desire sacrifice, and you do not delight in burnt offerings. 51.19 The sacrifices of Alhym are a broken spirit, a heart broken and contrite, Alhym will not despise. 51.20 You have done good to Zion, you will build the walls of Jerusalem. 51.21 Then you will desire the sacrifices of righteousness, burnt offerings and crowns; then bulls will be offered on your altar. 52.1 To the wise leader, to David 52.2 When the man of Alhym came, he told Saul, saying, “David has come to the house of Ahimelech.” 52.3 Why boast in evil? The mighty one has mercy on Alhym all day long. 52.4 Let your tongue be like a razor that sharpens and works deceit. 52.5 Loving evil more than good, speaking lies, and speaking righteousness falsely. 52.6 Love all my words, swallow up a deceitful tongue. 52.7 He will cut off your tent and root you out of the land of the living, and he will cut you off forever. 52.8 And the righteous shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him. 52.9 Behold, a man will not make Alhym his strength, and trust in the multitude of his riches, and will be confident in his own strength. 52.10 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of Alhym, trusting in the mercy of Alhym forever and ever. 52.11 I will give thanks to you forever, for you have done this, and I will hope in your name, for it is good before your saints. 53.1 To the victor over the sickness of a wise man for David. 53.2 The wicked has said in his heart, "There is no Alhym." They have corrupted and abhorred the wicked. There is no one who does good. 53.3 Alhym looks down from heaven on mankind to see if there are any who understand and seek Alhym. 53.4 They have all gone astray together; there is none who does good, not even one. 53.5 Do not the workers of iniquity know that they devour my people? They eat bread, and call not upon Alhym. 53.6 There they feared, fear was not, for Alhym had scattered the bones of Hanach, and shame was not, for Alhym was a granary. 53.7 Who will bring salvation from Zion to Israel? When Alhym returns, his people will be saved. Jacob will be saved. Israel will rejoice. 54.1 To the director, on the music of the Maskil for David. 54.2 When the Philistines came and said to Saul, “Doesn’t David hide himself with us?” 54.3 O Alhym, save me by your name, and judge me by your strength. 54.4 O Alhym, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth. 54.5 For strangers have risen up against me, and tyrants have sought my soul. Alhym hath not set a shield against them. 54.6 Behold, Alhym, YHVH, has helped me, in the hope of my soul. 54.7 Evil will return to my power, in your everlasting truth. 54.8 I will sacrifice to you a freewill offering; I will give thanks to your name, O YHVH, for it is good. 54.9 For he has delivered me from all trouble, and my eye has seen my enemies. 55.1 To the director, on the music of the Maskil for David. 55.2 Hear, O Alhym, my prayer, and do not ignore my plea. 55.3 Hearken unto me, and I will bring down my voice, and I will be afraid. 55.4 From the voice of the enemy, from the oppression of the wicked, when they pour out violence upon me, and in anger they smite me. 55.5 My heart is troubled within me, and the terrors of death have fallen upon me. 55.6 Fear and trembling come upon me, and terrors cover me. 55.7 And he said, Oh that I had a dove's limb, that I might fly and rest! 55.8 Behold, I will make the people wander far away in the wilderness of Sela. 55.9 Achish is my refuge from the wind, from the tempest. 55.10 My Lord has swallowed up their tongues, for I have seen violence and strife in the city. 55.11 Day and night she goes about upon her walls, and trouble and labor are within her. 55.12 He will be near, and he will not be far from his place, neither will he be deceitful. 55.13 For it is not an enemy that reproacheth me, and I bear it. neither is he that hateth me magnified himself, and I hide himself from him. 55.14 And you are human, as are my values, my champions, and my knowledge. 55.15 Who together will sweeten the secret in the house of Alhym, we will walk with affection 55.16 The wicked shall go down to Sheol alive, because evil is in their midst. 55.17 I will call upon Alhym, and YHVH will save me. 55.18 Evening and morning and noon I will speak and cry aloud, and my voice will be heard. 55.19 Redeem my soul in peace from my enemies, for they were with me in many. 55.20 Alhym will hear and answer them, and will dwell before the throne, where there is no successor, and they will not fear Alhym. 55.21 He spread out his hands in peace, he broke his covenant. 55.22 Share the flattery of his mouth and the closeness of his heart. His words are smoother than oil and are the entrances. 55.23 Cast your cares upon YHVH, and he will sustain you. He will never allow a rod to be given to the righteous. 55.24 But you, O Alhym, will bring them down to the pit of destruction; bloody and deceitful men will not prolong their days; and I will trust in you. 56.1 To the victor over the dove of Elam, far off, to David, who was in the battle with the Philistines at Gath. 56.2 Be gracious to me, O Alhym, for man is hungry for bread all day long. 56.3 My soul longs for bread from on high all day long, for I have plenty of bread from on high. 56.4 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. 56.5 In Alhym will I praise his word. in Alhym have I put my trust. I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. 56.6 All day long my words grieve me; all their evil thoughts are against me. 56.7 Those who live near me will watch over me, they will keep my steps, as my soul has kept them. 56.8 For their transgression they have fled from the peoples, and Alhym has brought them down. 56.9 You are the one who has written it down, and you have written it down. 56.10 Then my enemies will turn back on the day I call upon them; I will know that Alhym is with me. 56.11 In Alhym I will praise, in YHVH I will praise. 56.12 In Alhym I have trusted; I will not fear what man can do to me. 56.13 I have vowed to you, O Alhym; I will pay you thanks. 56.14 For you have delivered my soul from death, and have not my feet hastened to walk before Alhym in the light of life. 57.1 For the victor, do not destroy David's reputation when he fled from Saul in the cave. 57.2 Have mercy on me, O Alhym, have mercy on me, for in you I have taken refuge in my soul; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge until death passes. 57.3 I will call upon Alhym Most High, upon my Alhym who is my refuge. 57.4 He will send from heaven and save me from the reproach of my soul. Alhym will send his mercy and his truth. 57.5 My soul will lie in their hearts, they are like spears and arrows, and their tongues are like sharp swords. 57.6 Be exalted above the heavens, O Alhym; your glory is above all the earth. 57.7 They have prepared a net for me, my soul is bowed down; they have dug a net before conversation, they have fallen into it as a basket. 57.8 My heart is right in Alhym, my heart is right in Asherah and Azmavera. 57.9 Awake, my glory, awake, harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn. 57.10 I will praise you among the nations, O Lord; I will sing your praises among the nations. 57.11 For your lovingkindness reaches to the heavens, and your truth reaches to the skies. 57.12 Be exalted above the heavens, O Alhym, and your glory over all the earth. 58.1 For the victor, do not destroy David from the spot. 58.2 Will you not speak righteousness, and judge men uprightly? 58.3 Even in the heart of the oppressed you will be amazed, in the land of the oppressed your hands will be ensnared. 58.4 The wicked are born from the womb, they go astray from their belly with lying words. 58.5 The wrath of YHVH is like the wrath of a serpent, like a deaf cobra, he stops his ears. 58.6 He who does not listen to the voice of whisperers makes friends with wise men. 58.7 Alhym is a destroyer, who has put the jaws of the wicked in his mouth; YHVH has broken them. 58.8 They shall be consumed like water, they shall go astray; they shall cross over like a river. 58.9 Like a snail that melts, a woman who has fallen without seeing the sun will go down. 58.10 Before they understand, your ships will be like a living being, like a fury, they will provoke us. 58.11 The righteous will rejoice, for he will see the face of the avenger; his feet will be washed in the blood of the wicked. 58.12 And Adam said, "There is no fruit for the righteous, but there is a Alhym who judges in the earth." 59.1 For the victor, do not destroy David's reputation by sending Saul and guarding the house to kill him. 59.2 Deliver me from my enemies, my Alhym; from my rising up, uphold me. 59.3 Deliver me from the works of iniquity, and from bloody men deliver me. 59.4 For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul; they gather themselves together against me. not in my transgression, nor in my sin, O YHVH. 59.5 Let them run without iniquity, and prepare their watch to meet me, and see. 59.6 And you, O YHVH Alhym of hosts, the Alhym of Israel, have arisen to visit all the nations; do not spare any garment of oppression. 59.7 They shall return to the evening, they shall howl like a dog, and shall compass the city. 59.8 Behold, they shall utter swords in their mouths, and in their lips. for who hath heard? 59.9 But you, O YHVH, will laugh at them, you will mock all the nations. 59.10 I will be strong in you, for Alhym is my refuge. 59.11 The Alhym of his mercy shall go before me. the Alhym that shall visit me in my flesh. 59.12 Do not kill them, lest my people forget, who have been moved by your power, and let them take down our shield, O Lord. 59.13 The sin of their mouth is a thing they have uttered, and they are caught in their pride, and they will tell false and false stories. 59.14 A burnt offering in Hama, a burnt offering and a sacrifice, and they shall know that Alhym hath brought Jacob to the ends of the earth. 59.15 And they shall return in the evening, they shall howl like a dog, and shall compass the city. 59.16 They will be hungry if they are not satisfied and weep. 59.17 And I will sing of your strength, and sing aloud of your lovingkindness. for you have been my refuge and my refuge in the day of my trouble. 59.18 I will sing to you with my strength, for Alhym is my refuge, my Alhym my mercy. 60.1 To the victor on Shushan, a testimony against a stain, to David to teach. 60.2 When he had smitten Aram Naharaim and Aram Zobah, Joab returned and struck down twelve thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt. 60.3 Alhym has forsaken us, you have broken us; a heron has played with us. 60.4 The earth trembled, it was broken, its strength was broken, because it fell. 60.5 You have shown us harshness, you have given us wine to drink, you have intoxicated us. 60.6 You have given those who fear you a miracle to fly before the beauty of the basket. 60.7 That thy friends may be delivered, thy right hand shall save us, and we shall be saved. 60.8 Alhym has spoken in his holiness. I will exalt you, I will divide Shechem, and I will measure the valley of Succoth. 60.9 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is a stronghold. the heads of Judah are from Methuselah. 60.10 Moab, you are a pot that has been washed in Edom; I will throw my shoes on you, Philistia, you will be shaken. 60.11 Who will deliver me from the city of siege? Who will comfort me even to Edom? 60.12 For you are the Alhym who has forsaken us, and you will not go out as a Alhym in our armies. 60.13 Give us help in trouble, and the salvation of a man. 60.14 In Alhym we shall be strong, and he shall subdue our enemies. 61.1 For the conductor on the music for David. 61.2 Alhym heard my cry, he attended to my prayer. 61.3 From the end of the earth I will call to you, with my heart in my heart; on the rock that is higher than me, guide me. 61.4 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower from the enemy. 61.5 I will hide a coin in your tent forever, in the secret place of your wings. 61.6 For you are Alhym, who hears my vows; you have given an inheritance to those who fear your name. 61.7 You will add days to the days of a king, his years like generations. 61.8 He shall dwell before Alhym for ever. mercy and truth shall preserve him. 61.9 So I will sing praises to your name forever, fulfilling my vows day by day. 62.1 To the chief Musician upon Jeduthun, a Psalm of David. 62.2 But to Alhym is my soul silent, from whom is my salvation. 62.3 But he is my strength and my salvation; I will not be greatly shaken. 62.4 How long will you be wondering about a man? You will all be murdered like a leaning wall, a fence that has been pushed back. 62.5 But they will seek to overthrow his counsel, they will seek a lie with his mouth; they will bless him, and among them they will curse him. 62.6 But my soul is steadfast in Alhym, for from him I take refuge. 62.7 But he is my strength and my salvation; I will not be shaken. 62.8 In Alhym I trust, and in the glory of Tyre I am strong; in Alhym I take refuge. 62.9 Trust in him at all times, pour out your heart before him; Alhym is our refuge and refuge. 62.10 But the vanity of men, the deceit of the sons of man, is like a balance, and they are all weighed in vanity together. 62.11 Trust not in oppression and robbery. waste not thy strength, for it shall fail. set not thy heart upon it. 62.12 This is one word of Alhym. I have heard that I am strong in Alhym. 62.13 And to you, O Lord, belong mercy, for you will repay each one according to his work. 63.1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. 63.2 O Alhym, I thirst for you; my soul thirsts for you; how long will my flesh thirst for you in a dry and thirsty land without water? 63.3 So in the sanctuary I saw your face, to see your power and your glory. 63.4 For your lovingkindness is better than life; my lips will praise you. 63.5 So I will bless you while I live, I will lift up my hands in your name. 63.6 My soul shall be satisfied as with milk and fatness. and my mouth shall praise thee with meek lips. 63.7 If I remember you in my works, I will rejoice in you. 63.8 For you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge. 63.9 My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. 63.10 And they shall seek my soul in the holocaust; they shall come to the ends of the earth. 63.11 They will be torn apart by the sword, so that they will be like leaves. 63.12 And the king shall rejoice in Alhym. all that swear by him shall glory. for he shall stop the mouths of them that speak lies. 64.1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. 64.2 Hear my voice, O Alhym, in my prayer. for fear of the enemy, preserve my life. 64.3 Hide me from the secret places of evildoers, from the incitement of adulterers. 64.4 Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword, their way is sharp, their words bitter. 64.5 Shoot in secret places, they will shoot suddenly and will not be seen. 64.6 They will strengthen them with evil things, they will tell them to hide mines, they will say, "Who will see them?" 64.7 They will seek the sacrifice of Teman, they will seek, they will seek, and they will bring a man near, and the heart of the valley. 64.8 And Alhym sent forth an arrow, and suddenly they were smitten. 64.9 And they shall make him stumble, they shall be ashamed with their tongue. every one that seeth them shall be astonished. 64.10 And every man shall fear, and say, The work of Alhym, and his work they understand. 64.11 The righteous shall rejoice in YHVH, and shall take refuge in him. and all the upright in heart shall glory. 65.1 For the conductor, a psalm for David. A song. 65.2 To you the praise of Alhym is like a cloud in Zion, and to you he will pay his vow. 65.3 Hear the prayer of your witnesses, all flesh will come. 65.4 The words of the season are greater than our transgressions; you will forgive them. 65.5 Blessed is he who chooses and draws near, he who dwells within his walls, he swears by the goodness of your house, your holy temple. 65.6 Fear ye in righteousness. my Alhym shall save us, he is our refuge, from all the ends of the earth, and from the seas afar off. 65.7 He establishes mountains by his power, and is girded with might. 65.8 The noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the multitude of the nations, 65.9 And they that dwell in the uttermost parts shall fear thy signs, singing morning and evening. 65.10 You have visited the earth, and it has greatly increased, you have enriched it, a river of Alhym, full of water, you have prepared their grain, for you have prepared it. 65.11 Ptolemy, her troops have landed in Revivim, she will sing for joy, she will flourish and bless. 65.12 The crown of your year of goodness, and your circles shall be sprinkled with manure. 65.13 The wilderness will be desolate, and the hills will be girded with sackcloth. 65.14 The sheep shall put on their coats, and the valleys shall cover themselves with the wilderness; they shall tremble, and sing. 66.1 To the chief Musician. Praise Alhym, all the earth. 66.2 Sing the glory of his name, make his praise glorious. 66.3 They said to Alhym, "How terrible are your works! In the greatness of your power, your enemies will deny you." 66.4 All the earth shall worship thee, and sing unto thee, they shall sing praises unto thy name, Selah. 66.5 Come and see the works of Alhym, how terrible is his deed toward men! 66.6 He turned the sea into dry land, and they passed over on foot in a river; there we rejoiced in it. 66.7 The world is a proverb in his power. his eyes shall behold the nations. let not the rebellious lift up their sword against him. 66.8 O bless our Alhym, O peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard. 66.9 YHVH keeps our soul alive and does not allow our feet to be caught in a trap. 66.10 For Alhym has tested us; He has refined us like silver. 66.11 He brought us to a fortress, where death was oppressing our loins. 66.12 We have taken a human as our head, we have come through fire and water, and you will bring us out to the light. 66.13 I will come to your house with burnt offerings, I will pay you my vows. 66.14 For my lips have opened wide, and the words of my mouth have troubled me. 66.15 I will offer to you a burnt offering with the incense of rams, I will prepare a basket of fattened calves. 66.16 Come, hear, and I will declare, all you who fear Alhym, what he has done for my soul. 66.17 To him I cried with my mouth, and he lifted up his voice under my tongue. 66.18 If I have considered iniquity in my heart, YHVH will not hear. 66.19 Indeed, Alhym has heard and listened to the voice of my prayer. 66.20 Blessed be Alhym, who has not turned away my prayer and his mercy from me. 67.1 For the conductor of a psalm, a song 67.2 May Alhym be gracious to us and bless us; may his face shine upon us, O Selah. 67.3 That thy way may be known in the earth, thy salvation among all nations. 67.4 The nations will praise you, O Alhym, all the nations will praise you. 67.5 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you will judge the peoples of the plain, and comfort the nations of the land of Sale. 67.6 Let the nations praise you, O Alhym; let all the nations praise you. 67.7 The earth has yielded its produce; Alhym, our Alhym, will bless us. 67.8 May Alhym bless us, and may all the ends of the earth fear him. 68.1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. 68.2 Alhym will arise, his enemies will be repaid, and those who hate him will flee before him. 68.3 As smoke is driven away, so shall it be driven away, as wax melts before the fire, so shall the wicked perish before Alhym. 68.4 But the righteous shall be glad, and shall be exalted before Alhym, and shall rejoice with joy. 68.5 Sing to Alhym, sing praises to his name; ride on the plains of his name, and let them go up before him. 68.6 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of widows, Alhym is in his holy habitation. 68.7 Alhym settles the lonely in their homes, He brings out prisoners in safety, But the rebellious dwell in aridity. 68.8 O Alhym, when you went out before your people, when you walked in the wilderness of Sela, 68.9 The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of Alhym, this Sinai at the presence of Alhym, the Alhym of Israel. 68.10 Alhym will send down a rain of alms, your inheritance, and you have established it. 68.11 You have made them dwell therein; you will prepare in your goodness for the poor of Alhym. 68.12 YHVH will give, says the one who announces the great army. 68.13 The kings of hosts shall rejoice, and the house of YHVH shall divide the spoil. 68.14 If you lie between my lips, the wings of a dove are covered with silver, and its limbs with a greenish sliver. 68.15 In the horse of the kings, where the snow falls in Zalmon. 68.16 The mountain of Alhym, the mountain of Bashan, the mountain of Gibnanim, the mountain of Bashan 68.17 Why do you seek the mountains of the highlands? The mountain is pleasing to Alhym, for it is his dwelling place. YHVH will dwell there forever. 68.18 The chariot of the mighty Alhym is thousands of thousands, YHVH of hosts, in Sinai, in the holy place. 68.19 You have ascended to the height of the house of my captivity, to take gifts from man, and even from the rebellious to dwell in the house of YHVH Alhym. 68.20 Blessed be YHVH, day by day the Alhym of our salvation will burden us with a basket. 68.21 Our Alhym is a Alhym for the afflicted, and YHVH is our Lord for the dead. 68.22 But Alhym will crush the head of his enemies, the head of a gate that walks in his sins. 68.23 YHVH said, “I will return from Bashan, I will return from the depths of the sea.” 68.24 That your foot may tread in the blood of your dogs, and the tongue of your enemies, 68.25 Behold thy goings, O Alhym, the goings of my king in the sanctuary. 68.26 Singers preceded musicians among maidens playing drums 68.27 In choirs, bless YHVH Alhym from the source of Israel. 68.28 There Benjamin, a young man, is sleeping; the princes of Judah are trampled; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali. 68.29 The command of your Alhym is your strength, O Alhym, this you have done for us. 68.30 From your temple in Jerusalem, kings will bring you gifts. 68.31 A rebuke is given to a band of warriors, with calves of the nations, who luxuriate in silver runners, with a garland of nations, who desire battles. 68.32 The Cushites will come from Egypt, and Cush will stretch out his hands to Alhym. 68.33 Let the kingdoms of the earth sing to Alhym, let YHVH sing praises to him. 68.34 He will ride in the heavens of the east, and he will utter his voice with a loud voice. 68.35 Give strength to Alhym over Israel, his glory and his strength in the skies. 68.36 Alhym is terrible from your holy places to Israel; he has given strength and power to the people. Blessed be Alhym. 69.1 To the one who triumphs over roses, to David. 69.2 Save me, O Alhym, for the waters have come up to my soul. 69.3 I am drowned in a deep, and there is no standing; I have come into the depths of the waters, and your flood has overwhelmed me. 69.4 I am weary with crying, my throat is parched; my eyes fail, I long for my Alhym. 69.5 The hairs of my head are more numerous than the hairs of my head, and I have destroyed my enemies without cause, and I have not robbed them. Therefore I will repay. 69.6 O Alhym, you know my affliction, and my transgressions are not hidden from you. 69.7 Let not your hope be dry in me, O Adny YHVH of hosts. let not those who seek you be ashamed in me, O Alhym of Israel. 69.8 For I have borne reproach against you, and shame has covered my face. 69.9 I was a stranger to my brothers, and a stranger to my mother's children. 69.10 For zeal for your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of your winters have fallen on me. 69.11 And I will weep with fasting, and it shall be to my reproach. 69.12 And I will put on sackcloth, and I will be an example to them. 69.13 They that dwell in the gate shall mock me, and the drunkards shall be glad. 69.14 And I will pray unto thee, O YHVH, in the time of thy will; in the multitude of thy mercy answer me in truth, O thou that savest me. 69.15 Deliver me from the mire, that I may not sink. deliver me from the mire, and from the deep waters. 69.16 Do not let the floodwaters overwhelm me, nor let the deep swallow me up, nor let the well of its mouth overflow me. 69.17 Answer me, O YHVH, for your lovingkindness is good; according to the multitude of your mercies turn to me. 69.18 And hide not thy face from thy servant. for I am in distress. answer me speedily. 69.19 He drew near to my soul, he redeemed me because of my enemies. 69.20 You know how I have been reproached and humiliated, and how I have spoken against you by all my enemies. 69.21 Shame has broken my heart and I am desolate. I looked for a stranger, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none. 69.22 And they gave me head in my mouth, and gave me leaven to drink to the thirsty. 69.23 Let their journey be like a snare before them, and their peace like a snare. 69.24 Their eyes shall be darkened from seeing, and their loins shall continually stumble. 69.25 Pour out your wrath upon them, and your fierce anger shall overtake them. 69.26 Their fortress will be a place of refuge, and their tents will not be inhabited. 69.27 For you, whom you have struck, will pursue them, and they will tell of the pain of your slain. 69.28 Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come in thy righteousness. 69.29 They will erase the book of life, but they will not write it with the righteous. 69.30 But I am poor and afflicted, O Alhym of your salvation, uphold me. 69.31 I will praise the name of Alhym with song, and magnify him with thanksgiving. 69.32 And it is better for YHVH than an ox with horns, or a bullock with horns. 69.33 See, the humble will be glad; seek Alhym, and your heart will live. 69.34 For YHVH heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners. 69.35 Let heaven and earth praise him, and let every living thing in them praise him. 69.36 For Alhym will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah, and they shall dwell there, and possess it. 69.37 And the seed of his servants shall inherit it. and they that love his name shall dwell therein. 70.1 To the victor, to David, to remind 70.2 Alhym is my salvation; YHVH is my helper. 70.3 They shall be dried up and dug up; they shall turn back and hide themselves from those who seek my soul. 70.4 They shall turn back upon their heels, saying, "Brother, brother!" 70.5 Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you, and say, "May Alhym be magnified forever, my beloved, and may your salvation be exalted." 70.6 But I am poor and needy. Alhym is my help and my refuge. O YHVH, tarry not. 71.1 In you, O YHVH, I have put my trust, I will not be ashamed forever. 71.2 In your righteousness save me and deliver me; incline your ear to me and save me. 71.3 I have made a rock my dwelling place; you have commanded me to save me always, for you are my rock and my fortress. 71.4 My Alhym, deliver me from the hand of the wicked, from the hand of oppression and of vinegar. 71.5 For you, O Adny YHVH, have been my refuge from my youth. 71.6 On you I have relied from my mother's womb; you are my refuge; in you I will praise forever. 71.7 I have been an example to many, and you are a strong refuge. 71.8 May your mouth be filled with your praise all day long, with your glory. 71.9 Cast me not away in the time of old age. forsake me not when my life faileth. 71.10 For mine enemies speak against me, and they that keep my soul take counsel together. 71.11 Saying, Alhym hath forsaken him. pursue and overtake him, for there is none to deliver. 71.12 O Alhym, be not far from me. my Alhym is my help. hasten to help me. 71.13 Let the devils of my soul be consumed, let them be clothed with shame and confusion, that seek my hurt. 71.14 And I have always desired and added to all your praise 71.15 My mouth will declare your righteousness all day long, your salvation, for I do not know how to read. 71.16 I will come in the presence of ADNY YHVH; I will make mention of your righteousness, yours alone. 71.17 O Alhym, you have taught me from my youth; even now I will declare your wonders. 71.18 Even until I am old and weary, O Alhym, do not forsake me, until I declare your arm to every generation, your power to all who come. 71.19 And thy righteousness, O Alhym, is high; for thou hast done great things, O Alhym. who is like unto thee? 71.20 You who have shown us many troubles and evils, you will revive us again, and from the depths of the earth you will bring us up again. 71.21 I have increased greatly, and you have comforted me. 71.22 I will also praise you with the harp, your faithfulness, my Alhym; I will sing praises to you with the lute, O Holy One of Israel. 71.23 My lips shall sing praises unto thee, and my soul which thou hast redeemed. 71.24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long. for they are ashamed, because they digged for my hurt. 72.1 To Solomon, O Alhym, give thy judgments unto the king, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. 72.2 Judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with judgment. 72.3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills righteousness. 72.4 He will judge the poor of the people, he will save the children of the needy, and he will crush the oppressor. 72.5 They shall fear thee with the sun, and before the moon, for all generations. 72.6 He descended like rain upon the Caribs, a trickle of water upon the earth. 72.7 The righteous shall flourish in his days, and there shall be abundance of peace, even unto the moon. 72.8 And he descended from the sea to the sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth. 72.9 Fleets shall bow down before him, and his enemies shall lick up the dust. 72.10 The kings of Tarshish and the isles of Menchae shall return, the kings of Sheba and Sheba shall offer sacrifices. 72.11 All kings shall worship him, all nations shall serve him. 72.12 For he will deliver the poor and needy, and the needy, and he who has no helper. 72.13 He will take care of the poor and needy, and save the souls of the needy. 72.14 From Michmash he will redeem their soul, and their blood will be precious in his sight. 72.15 And he lived, and gave him gold, which he brought, and prayed for him continually all day long, and blessed him. 72.16 There shall be a wild goose in the land, on the top of the mountains; its fruit shall shake like the lychee, and it shall spring forth from the city like the grass of the earth. 72.17 May his name endure forever before the sun. May his name be praised and blessed in him. May all nations praise him. 72.18 Blessed be YHVH Alhym, the Alhym of Israel. he alone hath done wondrous things. 72.19 And blessed be the name of his glory for ever. and his glory shall fill the whole earth. Amen, amen. 72.20 The prayers of David son of Jesse are finished. 73.1 A Psalm of Asaph. But Alhym is good to Israel, to the upright in heart. 73.2 And I am almost bowed down, as if I had not poured out my blessing. 73.3 For I am envious of the proud, but I will see the peace of the wicked. 73.4 For there is no grave for their death, but a healthy body. 73.5 They are not made by human labor, and they are not touched by human hands. 73.6 Therefore their pride shall be covered with a veil of fury. 73.7 He came out of the wilderness, his eyes were filled with tears. 73.8 They shall speak evil, and speak oppression from on high. 73.9 They shall drink in the heavens with their mouths, and their tongue shall walk in the earth. 73.10 Therefore he will bring a great slaughter upon his people, and they will drink their fill of water. 73.11 And they said, How knoweth Alhym? and is there knowledge in the highest? 73.12 Behold, these are the wicked and the peaceable of the world, who have gained power. 73.13 But I have cleansed my heart, and washed it in purity, as I have done. 73.14 And I was afflicted all the day long, and rebuked every morning. 73.15 If I said, "I will not be afraid," as the generation of your children is, I have betrayed them. 73.16 And I thought that knowing this was a labor in my eyes. 73.17 Until I come to my sanctuary, I will destroy them for the last time. 73.18 But in the fields you will give them their downfall as torches. 73.19 How could they have been so terrified at the moment? 73.20 Like a dream from summer, O Lord, in the city their image will be despised. 73.21 For my heart is waxed sour, and my reins are weary. 73.22 And I am burned, and I know not beasts; I was with thee. 73.23 But I am always with you, you hold my right hand. 73.24 Guide me with your counsel, and after honor take me. 73.25 Whom am I in heaven, and your people on earth? I have no desire. 73.26 My soul is full of thee, and my heart is strong, and my portion is Alhym for ever. 73.27 For behold, your trespassers shall perish, every harlot from you. 73.28 But as for me, it is good for me to be near Alhym. I dwell in YHVH, O YHVH, in my secret place, to declare all your works. 74.1 A wise man of Asaph. why hast thou forsaken Alhym for ever? let thy nostrils burn with the flock of thy pasture. 74.2 Remember your congregation, which you bought long ago, the redemption of the tribe of your inheritance, this Mount Zion, in which you have dwelt. 74.3 Lift up your feet to the everlasting paths, all evil is an enemy in the sanctuary. 74.4 Your adversaries roared in the midst of your people; they set up signs for them. 74.5 He knows how to bring up in the thicket of the sycamore tree. 74.6 And the time of its opening together with the scythe and the scythe of the diamond. 74.7 They have sent fire from your sanctuary to the earth, they have defiled the dwelling place of your name. 74.8 They said in their hearts, "We have burned up all the temples of Alhym in the land." 74.9 We have not seen our signs, nor is there any more a prophet with us, nor does he know how long. 74.10 How long will Alhym despise the oppressor? The enemy will despise your name forever. 74.11 Why do you withdraw your hand and your right hand from the midst of your law? 74.12 And the Alhym of the kings of the east wrought salvation in the midst of the earth. 74.13 You break the sea with your might, you break the heads of crocodiles on the waters. 74.14 You crushed the heads of Leviathan, and gave food to the people, even to the flocks. 74.15 You are a valley of springs and streams, you dry up rivers with them. 74.16 You have made the day and the night, you have made the light and the sun. 74.17 You have set all the boundaries of the earth; summer and winter you have created. 74.18 Remember this, O YHVH, the enemy, and with the wicked they have blasphemed your name. 74.19 Do not give your life to a living soul; do not forget your poor forever. 74.20 Look to the covenant, for the darkness of the earth is filled with the pleasures of violence. 74.21 Let not thy dwelling place be ashamed. the poor and needy shall praise thy name. 74.22 Rise up, O Alhym, and let your strife be remembered; let your reproach be remembered by the wicked all the day long. 74.23 Do not forget the voice of your oppressors, the noise of your feet has always been heard. 75.1 For the winner, do not destroy a psalm for the collector of songs. 75.2 We give thanks to you, O Alhym, we give thanks, and your name is near, and your wonders are recounted. 75.3 For I will appoint a time, I will judge righteously. 75.4 I will make the earth and all its inhabitants desolate; I will set its pillars in order. 75.5 I said to the revelers, "Do not rejoice, and to the wicked, do not lift up the horn." 75.6 Do not lift up your horn on high, speak with a proud neck. 75.7 For neither from the east nor from the west, nor from the wilderness of mountains 75.8 For Alhym is the judge, he will bring down one and lift up another. 75.9 For in the hand of YHVH is a cup, and wine is brimming over with wine. and he that drinketh it shall drink it not. All the wicked of the earth shall drink it not. 75.10 And I will sing to the everlasting praises of the Alhym of Jacob. 75.11 And all the horns of the wicked will I cut off. but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. 76.1 To the conductor of the psalm, to the composer of a song. 76.2 Alhym is known in Judah; in Israel his name is great. 76.3 And his dwelling place was in Shelomeh, and his resting place was in Zion. 76.4 Her name is the broken bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle is a pillar. 76.5 You are glorious, mighty, above the mountains of prey. 76.6 I will make the brave men of heart to sleep, and all the men of strength shall find none of their hands. 76.7 At your rebuke, O Alhym of Jacob, both chariot and horse are asleep. 76.8 You are terrible, and who can stand before you since your wrath? 76.9 From heaven you uttered judgment, a land of fear and quietness. 76.10 When Alhym arose to judge, to save all the meek of the land of Sela. 76.11 For the wrath of man shall be a curse. the remnant of wrath shall be girded. 76.12 Vow and pay to YHVH your Alhym; all around him will bring a gift to the fear of him. 76.13 He will strengthen the spirit of princes, terrible to the kings of the earth. 77.1 For the conductor on the harp, a psalm for Asaf. 77.2 My voice is to Alhym, and my voice to Alhym cries out, and he hears me. 77.3 In the day of my affliction, O Lord, I sought my hand, and in the night I sought, and YHVH comforted my soul, and it did not fail. 77.4 I remember Alhym, and his name I speak, and my spirit is wrapped in a veil. 77.5 You have kept my eyes open; I am astonished, and I cannot speak. 77.6 I have considered the days of old, the years of eternity. 77.7 I have sung my song in the night, I have communed with my heart, and my spirit has sought me. 77.8 YHVH will forsake the eternal, and will no longer be pleased. 77.9 YHVH is faithful, his mercy endures forever; he has said to all generations. 77.10 He forgot the store of the house of Alhym, and jumped in the nose of his mercy, and 77.11 And he said, My affliction is the years of the right hand of the Most High. 77.12 I will remember the works of YHVH, for I will remember him from the beginning of time. 77.13 And I will meditate on all thy works, and will speak of thy doings. 77.14 O Alhym, in your holiness, who is a great Alhym? 77.15 You, Alhym, have done wonders; you have declared your power among the peoples. 77.16 You redeemed with your arm your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph, Selah. 77.17 Alhym saw you, the waters saw you, they were filled with joy, even the depths were stirred up. 77.18 The waters flowed with a loud voice, the skies gave forth their voice, even the stones of your feet moved. 77.19 The sound of your thunder in the wheel, lightnings lit up the world, the world was angry and the earth trembled. 77.20 Your way is in the sea, and your paths in many waters, and your footsteps are not known. 77.21 You sent down your people like sheep by the hand of Moses and Aaron. 78.1 A wise man of Asaph, hearken, my people, unto my law. incline your ears unto the sayings of my mouth. 78.2 I will open my mouth in a parable, I will utter riddles from of old. 78.3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. 78.4 Their children will not perish, to the last generation they will tell of the praises of YHVH, and of his strength, and of the wonders which he has done. 78.5 And he established a testimony in Jacob, and a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children. 78.6 That the next generation may know, children to beget, they shall arise and tell their children. 78.7 And they shall set their trust in Alhym, and shall not forget the works of Alhym, nor his commandments; they shall keep them. 78.8 And they shall not be like their fathers, a rebellious and perverse generation, a generation whose heart was not prepared, nor whose spirit was steadfast toward Alhym. 78.9 The children of Ephraim, who draw the bow, have become like the Romans in the day of battle. 78.10 They did not keep the covenant of Alhym, nor walk in his law. 78.11 And they forgot his works and his wonders that he had shown them. 78.12 He did wonders against their fathers in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. 78.13 He divided the sea and made it pass through, and made the waters stand like a rock. 78.14 And he was comforted by day with a cloud, and all the night with the light of fire. 78.15 He will open wide the wilderness, and make it like a great deep. 78.16 And liquids will flow out of the rock, and flow down like rivers of water. 78.17 And they will sin against him yet more, in defiance of the Most High in Zion. 78.18 And they sought Alhym in their hearts to ask food for their souls. 78.19 And they spake against Alhym, saying, Is Alhym able to bring a song in the wilderness? 78.20 He struck the rock, and water gushed out, and streams overflowed. He could even give bread, if he prepared a feast for his people. 78.21 Therefore YHVH heard, and was moved; and a fire devoured Jacob, and also ascended up into Israel. 78.22 Because they believed not in Alhym, nor trusted in his salvation. 78.23 And he stretched out the heavens above, and opened the windows of heaven. 78.24 And he rained down manna upon them to eat, and gave them the grain of heaven. 78.25 The bread of knights ate a man of the field, he sent to them to satisfy them. 78.26 He will ride in the morning in the heavens, and will rule in his might over Yemen. 78.27 And he rained upon them as dust and as the blue of the sea, as birds with wings. 78.28 And he fell in the battle of his camp round about his dwellings. 78.29 And they ate and were filled to the brim, and their desire came to them. 78.30 They did not scatter from their flocks, they ate in their mouths. 78.31 And Alhym came up against them, and slew in their fat ones, and subdued the chosen of Israel. 78.32 Yet they sinned yet more, and believed not in his wonders. 78.33 And their days were spent in vanity, and their years in trouble. 78.34 If he kills, and they seek him, and return and curse him, 78.35 And they remembered that Alhym was their Alhym, and that the Most High was their redeemer. 78.36 And they shall deceive him with their mouth, and with their tongue shall they lie unto him. 78.37 And their heart was not right with him, and they were not faithful in his covenant. 78.38 He is merciful, forgiving iniquity and not destroying, and he will turn away his anger and not stir up all his wrath. 78.39 And he remembered that flesh is a spirit that departs and does not return. 78.40 How often they will afflict him in the wilderness, how they will afflict him in the wilderness! 78.41 Then they returned and sought Alhym, and the Holy One of Israel was smitten. 78.42 They remembered not his hand in the day when he delivered them from trouble. 78.43 Who set his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan, 78.44 And he turned their blood into blood, and their blood into blood, and they drank it not. 78.45 He will send among them a swarm of locusts and they will eat them up, and a frog and they will destroy them. 78.46 And he gave their crops to the locust, and they were devoured by the locust. 78.47 He will kill their vines with hail, and their vines with hailstones. 78.48 And he will shut up their cities to the hail, and their treasures to the spies. 78.49 He will send upon them the fierceness of his anger, transgression and fury and distress, sending evil angels. 78.50 He will make a path for his nose, not darkened by the death of their soul, and their seal to the word he has given. 78.51 And he smote all the firstborn in Egypt, the beginning of strength in the tents of Ham. 78.52 And he led them like a flock in the wilderness. 78.53 And he was comforted in safety, and feared not. and the sea covered their enemies. 78.54 And he brought them to the border of his holiness, this mountain which he had purchased for us. 78.55 And he cast out nations before them, and brought them down into the land of their possession. and the tribes of Israel dwelt in their tents. 78.56 And they tempted and rebelled against the most high Alhym, and kept not his testimonies. 78.57 And they shall turn back and betray like their fathers; they shall become like a deceitful bow. 78.58 And they provoked him to anger with their high places, and with their graven images they provoked him to anger. 78.59 Alhym heard and was moved, and was exceedingly displeased with Israel. 78.60 And he left his dwelling place, the tent that dwelt with man. 78.61 And he gave his strength and glory into captivity, and into the hand of the oppressor. 78.62 And he shut up his people to the sword, and his inheritance he passed over. 78.63 Fire devoured his young men, and his virgins were not corrupted. 78.64 His priests have fallen by the sword, and his widows have not wept. 78.65 And my Lord awoke as one that slept, like a mighty man that leapeth from the vine. 78.66 And he smote his enemies backward, and gave them everlasting shame. 78.67 And he abhorred the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim. 78.68 And he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which he loved, 78.69 And he built his sanctuary like the high places, and founded it like the earth for ever. 78.70 And he chose David his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds, 78.71 For they brought forth the flock to pasture in Jacob his people, and in Israel his inheritance. 78.72 And he will thunder with the stain of his heart, and with the wisdom of his hands he will comfort. 79.1 A Psalm of Asaph, O Alhym, the nations have come into your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple; they have made Jerusalem an object of desolation. 79.2 We have given the dead bodies of your servants as food for the birds of the air, the flesh of your saints for the life of the earth. 79.3 Their blood has been poured out like water around Jerusalem, and there is no one to bury it. 79.4 We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a derision and a derision to those around us. 79.5 How long, O YHVH, wilt thou rage forever? wilt thou burn like the fire of thy jealousy? 79.6 Pour out your wrath on the nations that have not known you, and on the kingdoms that have not called on your name. 79.7 For he devoured Jacob, and Noah his name. 79.8 Do not remember us in the season of the toads; let your mercy come quickly to us, for we are greatly impoverished. 79.9 Help us, O Alhym, and save us, for the glory of your name; and deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake. 79.10 Why should the nations say, "Where is their Alhym?" He knows the avenging of the blood of your servants, which was shed before our eyes. 79.11 The groaning of the prisoner shall come before you, as your arm is stretched out, and the sons of mortals shall be freed. 79.12 And turn to our neighbors seven times the reproach of their reproach, which they have reproached you, O Lord. 79.13 And we, the people of your pasture, will give you thanks forever, and we will sing your praises forever and ever. 80.1 To the mighty Alhym, a testimony to Asaph, a psalm. 80.2 The wicked Israel listened, he walked like a sheep, Joseph sat on the cherubim, he appeared. 80.3 Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, stir up your strength, and go forth to save us. 80.4 Turn us back, O Alhym, and make your face shine, and we will be saved. 80.5 O YHVH Alhym of hosts, how long wilt thou be silent in the prayer of thy people? 80.6 You have fed me the bread of tears, and filled me with tears. 80.7 You have made us a reproach to our neighbors, and our enemies a mockery of us. 80.8 O Alhym of hosts, turn us back, and make your face shine, and we shall be saved. 80.9 A vine from Egypt will drive out nations and deceive them. 80.10 You turned your face toward it, and it took root, and filled the land. 80.11 The mountains are covered with its shade, and its branches are like cedars. 80.12 She will send her harvest to the sea, and her sucklings to the river. 80.13 Why have you broken down its walls and devoured all who pass by? 80.14 A boar from the forest will gnaw at us and tear the breasts of a wild boar. 80.15 O Alhym of hosts, look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine. 80.16 And the truth which your right hand has planted, and the son of your foster-child, 80.17 Burning with fire, like a loathsome scum, your face will perish. 80.18 Let your hand be upon a man, your right hand upon a man, your strength upon a man. 80.19 And we will not turn away from you, O Lord, and we will be called by your name. 80.20 O YHVH Alhym of hosts, turn us back. make your face shine, and we shall be saved. 81.1 To the victor over Gath, to Asaph 81.2 Let us sing to Alhym our strength; make a joyful noise to the Alhym of Jacob. 81.3 Take up a song, and play the pleasant harp and lyre, 81.4 Blow the shofar in the new moon, on the day of our festival. 81.5 For a law to Israel is the judgment of the Alhym of Jacob. 81.6 A testimony was given to Joseph, his name when he went out into the land of Egypt; I heard a language I did not know. 81.7 I have delivered you from affliction, which, like the hands of David, you have passed through. 81.8 You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you secretly. I thundered, and I showed you the way to the source of strife. 81.9 Hear, my people, and I will testify against you, Israel, if you will listen to me. 81.10 There shall be no strange god in thee, neither shalt thou worship any strange god. 81.11 I am YHVH your Alhym, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it. 81.12 But my people did not listen to my voice, and Israel did not obey me. 81.13 And I will send him in the will of their heart, and they shall walk in their own counsels. 81.14 If my people, Israel, had listened to me, they would have walked in my ways. 81.15 I will subdue their enemies almost, and I will turn my hand against their adversaries. 81.16 Those who hate YHVH will deny him, and he will be their enemy forever. 81.17 And they fed him with the milk of wheat and the curds of honey, which I have made sweet to your mouth. 82.1 A Psalm of Assaph. Alhym stands in the assembly. Alhym judges in the midst of Alhym. 82.2 How long will you judge unjustly, and bear the burden of the wicked? 82.3 Judge the poor and the orphan; uphold the needy and the oppressed. 82.4 Deliver the poor and needy from the hand of the wicked; save them. 82.5 They will not know nor understand; they will walk in darkness; all the rulers of the earth will perish. 82.6 I said, “You are alhyms, and all of you are sons of the Most High.” 82.7 Surely like a man you will die, and like one of the princes you will fall. 82.8 Arise, O Alhym, judge the earth. for thou shalt inherit all nations. 83.1 A Psalm of Asaph. 83.2 O Alhym, do not be silent, do not be silent, do not be silent. 83.3 For behold, thine enemies shall be ashamed, and they that hate thee shall lift up their heads. 83.4 They will take counsel against your people, and they will take counsel against your enemies. 83.5 They said, "Go, let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be remembered no more." 83.6 For they have taken counsel together against thee, they have made a covenant against thee. 83.7 The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, Moab, and the foreigners. 83.8 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre. 83.9 Assyria also went with them, they were a branch of the children of Lot, a pillar of salt. 83.10 He did to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, who dwelt at the torrent Kishon. 83.11 They were destroyed at Ain Dar, they were like blood to the ground. 83.12 Let their bounty be as the evening, and as the wolf, and as the sacrifice, and as the shadow of death, all their princes. 83.13 Who said, "We will inherit the favors of Alhym." 83.14 My Alhym, let them be crushed like chaff before the wind. 83.15 As fire burns the forest, and a flame sets the mountains ablaze, 83.16 So shalt thou persecute them with thy sorrow, and shalt make them afraid with thy tempest. 83.17 Their faces are filled with shame, and they seek your name, O YHVH. 83.18 They shall be dried up and terrified forever; they shall dig and perish. 83.19 And they shall know that thou, whose name is YHVH, thou alone art the Most High over all the earth. 84.1 For the conductor on the Gittite, a psalm for the sons of Korah. 84.2 What is the friendship of your dwellings, O YHVH of hosts? 84.3 My soul longs, yes, it faints for the courts of YHVH. My heart and my flesh sing for the living Alhym. 84.4 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the sparrow a nest for herself, where she may drink her nectar from your altars, O YHVH of hosts, my King and my Alhym. 84.5 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they will praise you forever. 84.6 Blessed is the man whose heart is in you, whose paths are in your ways. 84.7 Hebrew in the valley of weeping, a fountain, they shall set him, and the blessing of the teacher shall be upon him. 84.8 They shall go from strength to strength, fearing Alhym in Zion. 84.9 O YHVH Alhym of hosts, hear my prayer. give ear, O Alhym of Jacob, 84.10 O Alhym, our defender, see and look upon the face of your anointed. 84.11 For I have chosen a day better in my courts than a thousand. I will dwell in the house of my Alhym, than to dwell in the tabernacles of wickedness. 84.12 For YHVH Alhym is a sun and shield; YHVH will give grace and glory; he will withhold no good thing from those who walk blamelessly. 84.13 O YHVH of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. 85.1 For the conductor of the sons of Korah, a psalm. 85.2 You, O YHVH, desired your land, the Sabbath of Jacob's return. 85.3 You have borne the iniquity of your people; you have covered all their sins with a blanket. 85.4 You have gathered together all your transgressions, which you have returned from the fierceness of your anger. 85.5 Turn us back, O Alhym, and help us, and turn away your anger from us. 85.6 You will never be angry with us; you will draw out your anger forever and ever. 85.7 Will you not return and live, and your people will rejoice in you? 85.8 Show us, O YHVH, your lovingkindness, and grant us your salvation. 85.9 I will hear what YHVH Alhym will speak, for he will speak peace to his people and to his saints, and to those who return to Kislah. 85.10 But they that fear him shall dwell near, and glory shall dwell in our land. 85.11 Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 85.12 Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. 85.13 YHVH also will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. 85.14 Righteousness shall walk before him, and he shall direct his steps in the way. 86.1 A prayer of David. Incline your ear, O YHVH, answer me; for I am poor and needy. 86.2 Preserve my soul, for I am holy. save thy servant, O Alhym, who trusteth in thee. 86.3 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I call upon you all day long. 86.4 Let the soul of your servant rejoice, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. 86.5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, and abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. 86.6 YHVH hath heard my prayer, and hath attended unto the voice of my supplications. 86.7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon you, for you will answer me. 86.8 There is none like thee, O Lord Alhym, nor are there any works like unto thy works. 86.9 All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. 86.10 For you are great and do wonders, you alone are Alhym. 86.11 Teach me, O YHVH, thy way. I will walk in thy truth. unite my heart to fear thy name. 86.12 I will give thanks to you, O Lord my Alhym, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever. 86.13 For your lovingkindness is great toward me, and you have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. 86.14 The gods of the wicked have risen up against me; a company of tyrants have sought my soul; but I have not set thee before them. 86.15 But you, O Lord, are a Alhym merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth. 86.16 Turn to me and have mercy on me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your handmaid. 86.17 Show my people a sign for good, and they that hate me shall see, and be afraid. for thou, O YHVH, hast helped me, and comforted me. 87.1 For the sons of Korah, a psalm of song, founded in the holy mountains. 87.2 YHVH loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. 87.3 The city of Alhym speaks of you with great dignity. 87.4 I will remember Rahab and Babylon, and I will know that Philistia and Tyre, with Cush, are children there. 87.5 And it shall be said of Zion, Every man shall be born in her, and he shall establish her as the Most High. 87.6 YHVH will declare in the writings of the nations, This is a child named Selah. 87.7 And they sing as the profane, all before thee. 88.1 A Psalm for the sons of Korah, for the conductor, on the disease of affliction, learned to the civil Hyman. 88.2 O YHVH Alhym of my salvation, I cry out to you day and night. 88.3 Let my prayer come before you; incline your ear to my cry. 88.4 For my soul is filled with seven evils, and my life has come down to Sheol. 88.5 I was counted with them that go down to the pit. I was as a man without a ram. 88.6 Among the dead, seek ye as the slain, those that lie in the grave, which ye remember no more. and these are cut off from your hand. 88.7 I have drunk in a pit, in the darkness, in the pots. 88.8 Your wrath is upon me, and all your troubles you have answered with a loud voice. 88.9 You have taken away my knowledge from me; you have put abominations in prison, and I shall not go out. 88.10 My eye is troubled because of my affliction. I have called upon you, O YHVH, day after day. I have poured out my hands to you. 88.11 You will do wonders for the dead, if the ghosts rise, you will praise YHVH. 88.12 Let your lovingkindness be declared in the grave, your faithfulness in destruction. 88.13 He who knows your light in the darkness, and your righteousness in the land of Nesiah. 88.14 But I, O YHVH, have cried out to you; in the morning I have prayed, and you have come before me. 88.15 Why, O YHVH, do you forsake my soul? Why do you hide your face from me? 88.16 I am poor and weary from my youth, I carried your mother's peas. 88.17 Your anger has passed over me, and your troubles have overwhelmed me. 88.18 My enemies like water surround me all day long. 88.19 You have kept away from me the evil one, and my knowledge is in darkness. 89.1 Wise to the Civilian Eitan 89.2 I will sing of the steadfast love of YHVH forever and ever. I will declare your faithfulness with my mouth. 89.3 For I said, "A world of mercy will build heaven; your faith will be established in them." 89.4 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to David my servant. 89.5 I will establish your seed forever, and I will build your throne for all generations. 89.6 The heavens shall praise thy wonders, O YHVH; thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. 89.7 For he that prepareth himself for YHVH shall be like unto YHVH among the sons of the gods. 89.8 Alhym is to be feared in the secret of holiness, great and terrible to all around him. 89.9 O YHVH Alhym of hosts, who is like unto thee, O YHVH, and thy faithfulness is round about thee? 89.10 You rule over the waves of the sea; you praise their vain waves. 89.11 You have crushed Rahab like a plague; with your strong arm you have scattered your enemies. 89.12 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine, the world and its fullness. thou hast founded them. 89.13 The north and the right hand, you created them; Tabor and Hermon will sing in your name. 89.14 Go forth with a mighty arm, be strong, let your hand be strong, let your right hand be strong. 89.15 Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of your throne; mercy and truth shall go before you. 89.16 Blessed is the people that know the song of YHVH. they shall walk in the light of thy countenance. 89.17 In your name they will be glorified all day long, and in your righteousness they will be exalted. 89.18 For you are the glory of his might, and in your will you exalt our horn. 89.19 For YHVH is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel our king. 89.20 Then you spoke in a vision to your saints, saying, "I have helped the mighty one; I have lifted up a young man from among the people." 89.21 I have found David my servant, with my holy oil I have anointed him. 89.22 With whom my hand shall be ready, and my arms also shall strengthen him. 89.23 An enemy will not bear him up, and a son of a stranger will not answer him. 89.24 And I will cut off his enemies from before him, and will compass about his haters. 89.25 And my faith and my mercy shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted. 89.26 And I have set his hand in the sea, and in the rivers of our right hand. 89.27 He will call me, "Father!" You are my refuge and the rock of my salvation. 89.28 I also, the firstborn, will set him high above the kings of the earth. 89.29 I will keep my mercy for him forever, and my faithfulness is with him. 89.30 And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. 89.31 If their children forsake my law and my judgments, they will not walk in them. 89.32 If they break my statutes, and do not keep my commandments, 89.33 And I will visit their transgression upon the tribe, and their iniquity upon the plagues. 89.34 And my mercy will not be diminished from him, nor will I lie in my faith. 89.35 My covenant I will not break, neither will I alter the word of my lips. 89.36 I have sworn once by my holiness, if I have not betrayed David. 89.37 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. 89.38 Like the moon, it will be fixed forever in the game of Ne'eman Sela. 89.39 But you have forsaken and despised your anointed, 89.40 The covenant of your servant has been broken, you have profaned it in the land of his Nazarite. 89.41 You have broken through all his walls, you have destroyed his strongholds. 89.42 Every passerby who wanders by the way is a reproach to his neighbors. 89.43 The maggots of his right hand are his enemies, the joy of all his enemies. 89.44 You will turn back the sword of Tyre, and you will not stand up in battle. 89.45 The Sabbath is purified and his throne is set in the land of his exile. 89.46 The days of his youth were cut short, and shame covered him. 89.47 How long, O YHVH, wilt thou hide thyself forever? burn like the fire of thy wrath. 89.48 I remember how vainly You created all mankind. 89.49 What man shall live and not see death? Shall his soul be delivered from the hand of Sheol? 89.50 Where are your early mercies, O Lord? You swore to David by your faithfulness. 89.51 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of your servants, that I am in the bosom of all many peoples. 89.52 For your enemies, O YHVH, have reproached you, who have reproached the footsteps of your anointed. 89.53 Blessed be YHVH for ever. Amen and Amen. 90.1 A prayer of Moses, the man of Alhym. O Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. 90.2 Before he brought forth his seed, or brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, thou art Alhym. 90.3 You sit down until you are oppressed, and you say, "Return, O people!" 90.4 For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and I keep it in the night. 90.5 Your streams will be like grass in the morning, and it will pass away. 90.6 In the morning it flourishes, but in the evening it withers and dries up. 90.7 For we are consumed by your anger, and we are terrified by your wrath. 90.8 Let our days be fulfilled before you; let us be hidden in the light of your countenance. 90.9 For all our days have turned aside in thy transgression. we are all as a rudder. 90.10 The days of our years are seventy years, or if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their multitude is labor and sorrow; for they are quickly consumed and carried away. 90.11 Who knows the fierceness of your anger, or the fear of your transgression? 90.12 To number our days, so declare and prophesy with a heart of wisdom. 90.13 O YHVH, how long will it be before you return? And have mercy on your servants. 90.14 We are satisfied with the morning of your steadfast love; we will sing and rejoice all our days. 90.15 We rejoiced according to the number of years we have endured, we have seen evil. 90.16 Your servants will see your work and guide their children. 90.17 And the favor of YHVH our Alhym is upon us, and the work of our hands he has established upon us, and the work of our hands he has established. 91.1 He shall dwell in the secret place of the Most High, in the shadow of him who shall complain. 91.2 He said to YHVH, "My refuge and fortress, my Alhym, in whom I trust." 91.3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the wilderness of death. 91.4 He will cover you with his wings, and under his wings you will find refuge, and his truth will be your refuge. 91.5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day. 91.6 He will wander in the wilderness in darkness, he will plunder at noonday. 91.7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and a thousand at thy right hand shall not come nigh thee. 91.8 Look with your own eyes, and see the salvation of the wicked. 91.9 For you, O YHVH, are my refuge, O Alhym, who hast given me refuge. 91.10 No evil shall befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. 91.11 For he will give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. 91.12 He will bear you up in his hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 91.13 You will tread on the thornbush and the hyena, you will trample on the hyena and the hyena. 91.14 For I have desired him, and will deliver him. I will exalt him, because he knoweth my name. 91.15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will deliver him in trouble, and honor him. 91.16 I will swear to him for a long time, and show him my salvation. 92.1 A Psalm of a Song for the Sabbath Day 92.2 It is good to give thanks to YHVH, and to sing praises to your name, O Most High. 92.3 To declare thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights. 92.4 On the leaves of the tenor, on the leaves of the harp, on the leaves of wisdom on the lyre. 92.5 For I, O YHVH, have made you glad through your work, through the works of your hands. 92.6 How great are your works, O YHVH! how deep are your thoughts! 92.7 No fool knows this, and no fool understands it. 92.8 The wicked flourish like grass, and all the workers of iniquity spring up, to their destruction forever and ever. 92.9 But you, O YHVH, are exalted forever. 92.10 For behold, thine enemies, O YHVH, behold, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be cut off. 92.11 And he made them like the horns of a stranger, with fresh oil. 92.12 And my eye shall see my oxen, and mine ear shall hear them that rise up against me. 92.13 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, like a cedar in Lebanon; he will flourish like a cedar in Lebanon. 92.14 Those planted in the house of YHVH will flourish in the courts of our Alhym. 92.15 They will again flourish in their return, fertile and fresh. 92.16 To say, "YHVH is upright, my enemies will not rise against him." 93.1 YHVH is the King of glory, YHVH is the King of glory; he is strong 93.2 Your throne is established from everlasting. 93.3 The rivers of YHVH are lifted up; the rivers of their voice are lifted up; the rivers of the brooks are lifted up. 93.4 The mighty waves of the mighty sea are like the waves of the mighty sea in the height of YHVH. 93.5 Your witnesses are very faithful to your house; YHVH is holy forever. 94.1 To the vengeance of YHVH, to the vengeance of YHVH he has appeared. 94.2 He who has brought judgment upon the earth, he will repay the proud. 94.3 How long, O YHVH, will the wicked be exalted? How long will the wicked be exalted? 94.4 They will utter and speak great things; all the workers of iniquity will speak. 94.5 Your people, O YHVH, are oppressed, and your inheritance is afflicted. 94.6 They will kill the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. 94.7 And they said, YHVH seeth not, neither understandeth the Alhym of Jacob. 94.8 Hearken unto the cities among the people, and ye fools, when will ye understand? 94.9 He who planted the ear, shall he not hear? He who formed the eye, shall he not see? 94.10 He who afflicts the nations will not prove him who teaches a man knowledge. 94.11 YHVH knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. 94.12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O YHVH, and teach us your law. 94.13 To keep him from the days of evil, until the wicked perish. 94.14 For YHVH will not forsake his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. 94.15 For judgment shall return unto righteousness, and after it shall all the upright in heart. 94.16 Who will rise up for me with the wicked? Who will stand for me with the workers of iniquity? 94.17 If YHVH had not helped me, my soul would have been like a neighbor. 94.18 If I say, My feet are weak, your lovingkindness, O YHVH, will sustain me. 94.19 As I have poured out my heart within me, your consolations delight my soul. 94.20 You are the throne of creation, the work of creation is upon me. 94.21 They will seek the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood. 94.22 And YHVH shall be my strength, and my Alhym my refuge. 94.23 And he will bring upon them their own violence, and their own evil. he will consume them, O YHVH our Alhym, consume them. 95.1 Come, let us sing to YHVH, let us make a joyful noise to the rock of his salvation. 95.2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving; let us sing praises to him. 95.3 For YHVH is a great Alhym, and a great King above all gods. 95.4 In whose hand are the foundations of the earth, and the foundations of the mountains. 95.5 The sea is his, and he made it; his hands formed the dry land. 95.6 Come, let us worship and kneel before YHVH, let us worship. 95.7 For he is our Alhym, and we are his shepherd and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you obey his voice, 95.8 Do not harden your hearts, as in the day of the rebellion in the wilderness. 95.9 Your fathers have tried me, they have seen my works. 95.10 Forty years I will restrain the generation, and say, They are a people of erring heart, and they have not known my ways. 95.11 As I have sworn by my mouth, if they shall enter into my rest, 96.1 Sing to YHVH a new song; sing to YHVH, all the earth. 96.2 Sing to YHVH, bless his name, O flesh, for his salvation from day to day. 96.3 Declare his glory among the nations, his wonders among all peoples. 96.4 For great is YHVH, and greatly to be praised. he is terrible above all gods. 96.5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but YHVH made the heavens. 96.6 Majesty and splendor are before him; strength and splendor are in his temple. 96.7 Ascribe to YHVH, you families of the peoples, ascribe to YHVH glory and strength. 96.8 Give to YHVH the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. 96.9 Worship YHVH in the splendor of his holiness. fear him, all the earth. 96.10 They said among the nations, “YHVH is the King, the earth is in its right hand; do not let the peoples turn back from their right ways.” 96.11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and be filled with 96.12 Let my glory be exalted, and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy. 96.13 Before YHVH, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth; he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his faithfulness. 97.1 YHVH is the King of the earth; let many isles be glad. 97.2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; justice and judgment are the foundation of his throne. 97.3 A fire goes before him, and burns around his enemies. 97.4 The world saw his light, and the earth began to shine. 97.5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of YHVH, at the presence of YHVH of the whole earth. 97.6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. 97.7 All the servants of idols shall be dried up, who boast in idols; all the gods shall bow down to him. 97.8 Zion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah were glad because of your judgments, O YHVH. 97.9 For you, O YHVH, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. 97.10 Those who love YHVH hate evil. And all the people said, Amen, praise YHVH. 107.1 Give thanks to YHVH, for he is good; for his mercy endures forever. 107.2 Let the redeemed of YHVH say, Who redeemed them from the hand of trouble. 107.3 And he gathered them from the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the waters. 107.4 They wandered in the wilderness, wandering in the wilderness, they found no way to a city of habitation. 107.5 The hungry and the thirsty, their soul will be covered with them. 107.6 Then they cried to YHVH in their trouble; he saved them out of their distresses. 107.7 And he led them by a straight path to a city of habitation. 107.8 Let them give thanks to YHVH for his lovingkindness and for his wonderful works to the children of men. 107.9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul is filled with good things. 107.10 I sit in darkness and the shadows of prisoners, poor and iron. 107.11 For they have rebelled against the words of Alhym, and despised the counsel of the Most High. 107.12 And he brought down their heart in the labor of their hands, and they were helpless, and there was no helper. 107.13 Then they cried to YHVH in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 107.14 He will bring them out of darkness, and will cut off their idols and their idolatries. 107.15 Let them give thanks to YHVH for his lovingkindness and for his wonders toward men. 107.16 For he broke the gates of brass, and cut in pieces the bars of iron. 107.17 The wicked will be punished for their wicked ways and their sins. 107.18 Their soul abhors all food, and they reach the gates of death. 107.19 Then they cried to YHVH in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 107.20 He will send his word and heal them, and deliver them from their corruption. 107.21 Let them give thanks to YHVH for his lovingkindness and for his wonders toward men. 107.22 And they offered sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declared his works in his sight. 107.23 You who go to sea in ships, you who do business in many waters, 107.24 They have seen the works of YHVH, and his wonders in the deep. 107.25 And he said, and a stormy wind arose, and the waves thereof lifted up. 107.26 The heavens shall ascend, the depths shall descend; their soul shall rejoice in evil. 107.27 They shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and all their wisdom shall be swallowed up. 107.28 Then they cried to YHVH in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distresses. 107.29 He raises a storm into silence, and its waves are still. 107.30 And they were glad that they were quiet, and were comforted in their desire. 107.31 Let them give thanks to YHVH for his lovingkindness and for his wonders toward men. 107.32 And they shall exalt him in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of elders. 107.33 He makes rivers in the wilderness, and water for the thirsty. 107.34 A fruitful land for the salt, a land of evil for those who dwell therein. 107.35 He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into a place where water is found. 107.36 And the hungry shall dwell there, and they shall prepare a city of habitation. 107.37 And they sowed fields, and planted vineyards, and brought forth fruit of grain. 107.38 And he blessed them, and they multiplied exceedingly, and their multitude he did not diminish. 107.39 And they were few, and were consumed by the captivity of evil and sorrow. 107.40 He pours out contempt on the generous, and leads them astray in a way that is not right. 107.41 And he will lift up the poor from poverty, and make them like flocks of sheep. 107.42 The upright shall see it and be glad; and every one that riseth shall leap for joy. 107.43 Who is wise, and will keep these things, and will consider the lovingkindness of YHVH? 108.1 A Psalm of David. 108.2 My heart is set on Alhym; I will sing and make melody to my glory. 108.3 The harp awakens, and the lute awakens the dawn. 108.4 I will praise you, O YHVH, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. 108.5 For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth reaches to the skies. 108.6 Your glory, O Alhym, is above the heavens, and over all the earth. 108.7 That thy friends may be delivered, thy right hand and my cloud shall save them. 108.8 Alhym has spoken in his holiness. I will exalt you, I will divide Shechem, and I will measure the valley of Succoth. 108.9 Gilead is mine, Manasseh and Ephraim are mine, the chiefs of Judah are my strength. 108.10 Moab, you are a pot that washes in Edom; I will throw my shoes on you; Philistia, I will be afraid. 108.11 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will comfort me even to Edom? 108.12 Has not Alhym forsaken us? And has not Alhym gone out in our armies? 108.13 Give us help in trouble, and salvation in vain. 108.14 In Alhym we shall be strong, and he shall subdue our enemies. 109.1 For the conductor, a psalm of David. O Alhym, my praise, do not be silent. 109.2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have opened against me; they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. 109.3 And words of hatred compassed me about, and fought against me without cause. 109.4 Under my love he will make me weep, and I will pray. 109.5 And they have given me evil instead of good, and hatred instead of love. 109.6 The wicked shall be set over him, and Satan shall stand at his right hand. 109.7 When he is judged, the wicked will come forth, and his prayer will become sin. 109.8 His days will be few; another will take his place. 109.9 His children shall be fatherless, and his wife a widow. 109.10 And his sons will wander, and will ask and demand with their swords. 109.11 The creditor shall smite all that he hath, and the strangers shall come to rob him. 109.12 Let him not be shown mercy, nor have mercy on his fatherless children. 109.13 Let his end be cut off in another generation; let their name be blotted out. 109.14 Let him remember the iniquity of his fathers unto YHVH. and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. 109.15 They shall be against YHVH continually, and their remembrance shall be cut off from the earth. 109.16 Because he remembered not to do kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy, and his heart was grieved unto death. 109.17 He loved cursing, and it came to him; he did not delight in blessing, and it was far from him. 109.18 And he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, and it came into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones. 109.19 Be to him as a garment that covers him, and as a girdle that is always girded about him. 109.20 This is a wicked work from YHVH, and it is evil in my soul. 109.21 But you, O Lord Alhym, have done for me for your name's sake; for your lovingkindness is good; save me. 109.22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is desolate within me. 109.23 We have gone as a shadow, we have been shaken like a locust. 109.24 My knees fail from fasting, and my flesh fails from fat. 109.25 And I was a reproach to them. they shall fear me, and their heads shall be scorned. 109.26 Help me, O YHVH my Alhym; save me according to your lovingkindness. 109.27 And they shall know that it is thy hand, O YHVH, that has done this. 109.28 They shall curse, but thou shalt bless. they shall arise and be dry; and thy servant shall rejoice. 109.29 The fools will wear a cloak, and they will cover themselves with sackcloth as with a cloak. 109.30 I will greatly thank YHVH with my mouth, and in the presence of many I will praise him. 109.31 For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save the judgments of his soul. 110.1 A Psalm of David. YHVH said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 110.2 YHVH will send the rod of your strength out of Zion; go down in the midst of your enemies. 110.3 You have given me your people in the day of your power, in the holy splendor of your womb.
