HEBREWS 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 in these last days hath spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 being made lower than the angels, by so much the more hath he inherited a name more excellent than theirs. 5 For to which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 But again, when he bringeth in the firstborn into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire: 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions. 10 And, “In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands. 11 They will perish, but you remain; and all of them will grow old like a garment. 12 And like a garment you will roll them up, and they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will not fail. 13 But to which of the angels did you ever say, ‘Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool?’” 14 Are not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

HEBREWS 2
1 Therefore let us give the more earnest heed to what we have heard, lest we slip. 2 For if the word spoken by angels was sure, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward, 3 how shall we escape, if we neglect salvation? which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him, 4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Sacred Spirit, according to his will. 5 For to angels He did not subject the world to come, of which we speak. 6 And He testified against them, saying, What is man that You are mindful of him? or the son of man that You visit him? 7 You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of Your hands. 8 You have put all things under his feet. For in that He subjected all things to Him, He left nothing that is not subject to Him. But now we see all things subjected to Him. 9 But we see Ihsou, who was made a little lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor for the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he tasted death for all. 10 For it was fitting for him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both he who sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all one. For which reason he is not ashamed to call them brothers, 12 saying, “I will declare your name to my brothers; in the midst of the church I will sing praises to you.” 13 And again, I believe in him. And again, Behold, I also have faith in him. And again, Behold, the children God has given me. 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their life subject to bondage. 16 For he was not taken from the inheritance of angels, but from the seed of Abraham. 17 Therefore in all things it behooved him to be made like his brothers, that he might be merciful, and become a faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that he himself was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

HEBREWS 3
1 Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Christ Ihsou, 2 who was faithful to him who made him, as Moses also was in all his house. 3 For this man has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by as much as the house that built it has more honor. 4 For every house is built by someone, but he who built all things is God. 5 And Moses was faithful in all his house, as a healer, for a testimony of those who would speak. 6 But Christ as a Son over his own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the boasting of the hope firm unto the end. 7 For as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness, 9 where your fathers tempted me, tried me, and saw my works forty years. 10 I was angry with that generation and said, ‘They do err in their heart, but they have not known my ways.’ 11 As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall enter my rest.’ 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort yourselves daily, while it is called Today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, having been assured of the end from the beginning of the foundation of the world. 15 While it is said, Today if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. 16 For some, when they heard, did not repent; but not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 17 And with whom did he endure forty years? Not with those who had sinned, whose asses he made to fall in the wilderness. 18 And to whom did he swear that they should not enter his rest, if they did not believe? 19 And we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.

HEBREWS 4
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, having failed of the promise, we enter into his rest, by testing those of you who have fallen short. 2 For we had the gospel preached to us, just as they also did; but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard. 3 For we who have believed do enter into rest, as he has said, As I have sworn in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest, though they have done the works which were done from the foundation of the world. 4 For he has spoken of the seventh day in this way, “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” 5 And again in this, “If they enter my rest.” 6 Since then it remains for some to enter, and those to whom the gospel was preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again he defines a certain day, “Today,” speaking in David, after such a long time, as it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” 8 For if Ihsou had rested them, he would not have spoken of any other days after these. 9 Therefore there remains no Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered into his rest also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, lest we fall in him after the example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 There is no creation that is not manifest in his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Ihsou the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

HEBREWS 5
1 For every high priest taken from among men is appointed in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He can bear with the ignorant and the erring, for he himself also is subject to sickness. 3 Therefore he must offer for himself also, as for the people, so for sins. 4 And he does not take the honor upon himself, but he who is called by God, as was Aaron. 5 So also Christ did not glorify himself to become a high priest, but he who said to him, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you.” 6 As he says in another place, “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications to him that was able to save him from death, with strong crying and tears, and was heard in that he feared God: 8 And though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered: 9 And being made perfect, he became unto them that obey him the author of eternal salvation: 10 Declared of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek. 11 Of whom we have much to say, and hard to understand, but ye have become dull of hearing. 12 For though you ought to be teachers, yet for the time you need someone to teach you again which are the first principles of the oracles of God. And you have become needful of milk, and not of solid food. 13 For every one that partakes of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food is perfect for those who by reason of age have their senses trained to distinguish both good and evil.

HEBREWS 6
1 For leaving the principles of the word of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this we do, if God permits. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and who are partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and who have fallen away, to renew them again to repentance, crucifying to themselves the Son of God and setting an example for themselves. 7 For the earth, which has drunk the water that often comes upon it, and has produced a herb fit for those by whom it is tilled, receives a blessing from God; 8 but it bears thorns and thistles, unworthy and a curse, whose end is near to be burned. 9 But we are confident of you, beloved, the things promised and received of salvation, if we speak thus: 10 For God is not unrighteous to count your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire every one of you to shew the same diligence to the full assurance of the hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them which through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, since he had no greater oath, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “I will bless you, and I will multiply you.” 15 And so, having been patient, he obtained the promise. 16 For men swear by the greater, and an oath is binding on them against all opposition. 17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his will, confirmed it with an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that which is within the veil; 20 Wherein the forerunner is entered for us, Ihsou, made high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

HEBREWS 7
1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him, 2 to whom Abraham also gave a tenth of all, first by interpretation, king of righteousness, and afterwards king of Salem, which is, king of peace: 3 without blemish, without birth, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God, abideth a priest continually. 4 And consider this portion, to which Abraham the patriarch also gave a tenth of the firstfruits. 5 And they that are of the sons of Levi, which receive the priesthood, have a commandment to pay a tenth of the people according to the law, that is, their brethren, and are descended from Abraham. 6 And he, though not descended from them, paid a tenth of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7 And without any controversy, that which is received by him that is judged is blessed. 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there it is witnessed that he liveth. 9 And, as it is said, through Abraham and Levi, the one who received tithes, tithes; 10 for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him. 11 If then perfection were through the Levitical priesthood, for under it the people received a new law, what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not to be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For since the priesthood is transferred, there is a transfer of necessity and of the law. 13 For to whom it is said, another tribe has taken part, from which no one has come near the altar. 14 For it is clear that our Lord has risen from Judah, to which tribe Moses spoke nothing about priesthood. 15 And it is still more evident if another priest arises after the likeness of Melchizedek, 16 who was made, not according to the law of a commandment of the flesh, but according to the power of an indestructible life; 17 for he testifies that you are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. 18 For the law made nothing perfect, but the introduction of a sure hope, through which we draw near to God. 20 And as it is not without an oath, 21 for they are made priests without an oath; but he with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord is risen, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. 22 For of this same sure covenant Ihsou is made sure. 23 And those who are made priests by the majority, being hindered by death, remain undefiled: 24 But he, because he continueth for ever, hath his priesthood without defilement. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save to the uttermost them that come to God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26 For such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27 who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once for all, without need. 28 For the law maketh men high priests which are infirm: but the word of the oath after the law,Son, perfected for eternity.

HEBREWS 8
1 Now concerning those who are called: We have such a high priest, who is set down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a minister of the holy things, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3 For every high priest is made to offer both gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is necessary that he also should offer this. 4 For if I were on earth, I should not be a priest, since I am a priest who offers gifts according to the law, 5 who worship the example and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was about to make the tabernacle. See, for you must make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain. 6 But now he has come to a different ministry, inasmuch as he is a mediator of a covenant that is confirmed, which is established on the basis of promises. 7 For if that first one had been faultless, no place would have been sought for a second. 8 For he rebukes them, saying, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt: because they continued not in my covenant, and I forgat them, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In saying, New, he has made the first old: and that which is old and waxen old, is ready to perish.

HEBREWS 9
1 Therefore the first had also the rights of worship, the holy of holies. 2 For the first tabernacle was made, in which was the lampstand and the table and the shewbread, which is called holy. 3 And after the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, 4 having a golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid on every side with gold, having a golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; 5 and above it were cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; of which it is not now necessary to speak in detail. 6 Now these, being thus made, in the first tabernacle the priests ministered continually. 7 But in the second the high priest alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people, ignorantly. 8 This he signified by the Holy Spirit, lest the way of the saints should be made manifest, while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 Which was an illustration of the time of the first tabernacle, in which both gifts and sacrifices were offered, which could not make the one who worshipped perfect according to conscience, 10 only for odors, and for ointments, and for by divers baptisms and justification of the flesh, until the time of correction is at hand. 11 But Christ being made an high priest of the good things to come, by the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation; 12 nor by the blood of goats and calves; but by that same blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the blood of heifers, sprinkling them that are called, sanctifies to the purification of the flesh; 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that by a death that is passed for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they which are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16 For where there is a covenant, there must needs be death of him that is made. 17 For a covenant is certain over the dead, so that it is of no force while the one who made it lives. 18 Therefore the first covenant cannot be put into effect without blood. 19 For when every commandment had been spoken to all the people by Moses according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant that God has commanded you.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with blood. 22 And almost all things are by the law purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. 23 Therefore the patterns of things in the heavens must needs be purified, but the heavenly things themselves must be consecrated with these sacrifices. 24 For Christ is not entered into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that he should offer himself often,For as the high priest entereth into the holy place by blood of others, 26 For he hath suffered often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the end of the ages hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgment: 28 So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time without sin unto salvation.

HEBREWS 10
1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offer continually year by year make those who come perfect. 2 For if they had not ceased to be offered, they would no longer have a conscience of sins in those who worship, having once been purified, 3 but in them there remains a remembrance of sins year by year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5 For when he comes into the world he says, “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body I will prepare for myself.” 6 In burnt offerings and sin offerings you had no pleasure in. 7 Then I said, “Behold, I have come; in the volume of the book it is written of me to do your will, O God.” 8 And he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings, and for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure in them, which are offered according to the law: 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God: take away the first, that thou mayest establish the second: 10 By which will I have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Ihsou Christ once for all. 11 And every priest stands daily ministering, and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God, 13 from henceforth waiting until his enemies should be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he has perfected for ever those who are sanctified. 15 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us, for after that which was spoken before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws in their hearts, and in their minds will I write them: 17 And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 18 But where these are forgiven, there shall be no more an offering for sin. 19 Therefore, brothers, having confidence to enter the holy ones by the blood of Ihsou, 20 which he inaugurated for us by a new and living way, through the curtain, that is, his flesh, 21 and a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in the full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water, 23 holding the confession of our hope, for he who was called is faithful; 24 and considering one another to incite to love and good works, 25 not neglecting the 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful wrath of judgment, and a fiery indignation that will devour the adversaries. 28 He who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment, judge it, will he be thought worthy of who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord; and again, ‘The Lord will judge his people.’31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 32 But call to mind the former days, in which, having been enlightened, you endured a great struggle of sufferings; 33 and this, when you were mocked and afflicted, but this, you became partakers with those who were thus rebellious. 34 For you also shared in my bonds, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have a hidden and abiding presence in heaven. 35 Therefore do not cast away your boldness, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, He that is coming will come, and will not tarry. 38 But the just shall live by faith: and if he be cast down, my soul hath no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not sent unto perdition, but of faith unto the saving of the soul.

HEBREWS 11
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For to this the elders bore witness. 3 By faith we understand that the ages were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which are seen. 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, testifying of the gifts of God: and by it he, being dead, yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was taken up, that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had taken him: for before he was taken up he had this witness, that he pleased God well. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God believeth that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being moved with fear of God concerning things not seen, prepared an ark to the saving of his house: by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance: and he went out, not doubting whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for the city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she delivered a child when she was past the age, through a faithful leader who had been promised. 12 For from one man were born those already dead, as many as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the sand which is by the seashore in number. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and having been persuaded of them, and embraced them, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they who say such things show that they are seeking a homeland. 15 And if I had remembered her from whence I came, I would have had time to recover. 16 But now they are thirsting for a sign, which is of heaven. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called God, for he has prepared a city for them. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac; and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son, 18 to him of whom it was said, “In Isaac shall your seed be called.” 19 Regarding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, he brought him forth in a parable. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshipped on the top of his staff. 22 By faith Joseph, after he had finished speaking, made mention of the exodus of the children of Israel, and gave commandment concerning his bones. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw that the child was a laughingstock. And they were not afraid of the king's edict. 24 By faith Moses, when he was grown, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, 25 in order to be reconciled to the people of God, rather than to enjoy the temporary enjoyment of sin. 26 He had great riches in the treasures of Egypt, and despised Christ, for he looked to the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt,Do not fear the king's wrath, for he has kept the invisible one as a watchman. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch them. 29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land; which the Egyptians, having taken, were swallowed up. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after they had been surrounded for seven days. 31 By faith Rahab the harlot did not sell herself to the disobedient, having received the spies with peace. 32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, and Jephthah, of David, Samuel, and the prophets: 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, turned the edge of the sword to flight, were strengthened out of infirmity, became mighty in war, and subdued the enemies of the Gentiles. 35 Women received their dead raised from the dead; others were astonished, not accepting their deliverance, lest they should see the resurrection. 36 And others suffered mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover, bonds and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn, they were tempted, they were slain with the sword. They wandered about in deserts and in goatskins, destitute, afflicted, afflicted, 38 of whom the world was not worthy, wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the earth. 39 And these all, having been approved through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 which God had ordained for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

HEBREWS 12
1 We also, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, lay aside everything, including the sin that so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Ihsou, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such longsuffering from sinners, so that you may not be tempted in your own souls. 4 Yet you resisted sin to the point of blood, striving against it. 5 And you were exhorted as sons, saying, “My son, do not be negligent in the discipline of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by him. 6 For the Lord disciplines everyone he loves, but he scourges every son he receives. 7 If you endure discipline, God deals with you as with sons. For what son is he whom a father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 For we have had a father according to our flesh, and we chastened him: how much more shall we be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For the latter for a few days chastened them, as it seemed good to them: but he for the profit, that they may partake of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth not joy, but sorrow: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 12 Strengthen the hands that hang down and the feeble knees; 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be turned out of the way, but rather be healed. 14 Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. 15 Looking after none that fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble them, and thereby many be defiled. 16 Be not fornicator or profane, as Esau, who for one meal gave away his birthright. 17 For behold, afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it with tears. 18 For you have not come to a mountain that was burning with fire, and to darkness, and to a tempest, 19 and to the sound of a trumpet, and to a voice of words, which those who heard swore that no word should be added to them; 20 for they did not bring the thing that was spread abroad, and if any beast of the mountain touch it, it shall be stoned, or shot through with a bolt of lightning. 21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I am afraid and terrified. 22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to the judgment of God of all, and to the spirits of righteous people made perfect, 24 and to the mediator of a new covenant, Ihsou, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks in the name of Abel. 25 See that you do not reject him who speaks. For if they did not flee, having renounced the one on earth, much more will we who turn away from the one from heaven. 26 The voice that then shook the earth, but now it is proclaimed, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also the heaven. 27 And the word, Yet once more, signifies the removal of those things that are shaken,as being faithful, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, we have grace through which we may worship God acceptably with reverence and godliness. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

HEBREWS 13
1 Love one another. 2 Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have entertained angels as strangers. 3 Remember those in prison as if you were in prison; those who suffer as if you were in the body. 4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge fornicators and adulterers. 5 Do not be greedy for money, being content with what is present; for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So that we may be of good courage and say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man can do to me.” 7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Considering the outcome of repentance, imitate their faith. 8 Ihsou Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be confirmed by grace, not by things that have not benefited those who have walked in them. 10 We have an altar from which those who worship at the tabernacle have no right to eat. 11 For since the blood of the living is brought into the holy places through the high priest for sin, their bodies are burned outside the gate. 12 For Ihsou also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate. 13 Therefore we go out to him outside the gate, bearing his reproach. 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. 15 Through him therefore let us offer a sacrifice of praise to God for all things, that is, the fruit of lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But do not neglect good works and communion, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. 17 Obey your leaders and submit, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give an account, so that they may do this with joy and not with grief, for they have put you in chains. 18 Pray for us, for we are confident that we have a good conscience, desiring to return to good in every way. 19 I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you the sooner. 20 Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Ihsou, that great shepherd of the sheep, with the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 Equip you in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Ihsou Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 22 Now I beseech you, brethren, endure the word of exhortation: for I have sent unto you briefly. 23 Rejoice with Timothy our brother, whom I will see you soon, if he come shortly. 24 Greet all your superiors and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you. 25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
