TO THE COLOSSIANS 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Ihsou Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, 2 To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Ihsou Christ. 3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Ihsou Christ, praying always for you, 4 hearing of your faith in Christ Ihsou and of the love which you have for all the saints, 5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, 6 which is now present among you, as in all the world, and is bearing fruit, just as it is also in you, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth; 7 just as you learned from Epaphras, our beloved and faithful fellow servant, a minister of Christ on your behalf, 8 who also declared to us your love in the Spirit. 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, 10 so that you may walk worthy of the Lord to the full, fully pleasing him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, 13 who has delivered us from the from the power of darkness, and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins; 15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 for by him all things were created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 and he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might have the preeminence. 19 For in him all fullness was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, having made peace through the blood of his cross, whether things on earth or things in heaven. 21 And you, who were once alienated and enemies in mind by wicked works, yet now he has reconciled 22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and beyond reproach in his sight, 23 if you continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which has been preached in every creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. 24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and in my flesh I fill up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, which is the church, 25 of which I became a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given to me among you, to fulfill the word of God,26 The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but has now been revealed to his saints, 27 to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory; 28 whom we proclaim, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Ihsou; 29 in which I also labor, striving according to his working which is at work in me mightily.

TO COLOSSIANS 2
1 For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea, and for those who have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and in all the riches of the full assurance of knowledge, to the knowledge of the mystery of God and the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 I say this so that you may not be foolish in your speculations. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As ye therefore have received Christ Ihsou the Lord, walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, and abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, 10 and you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power. 11 In whom also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ. 12 You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncleanness of your flesh, He made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was against us, which was contrary to us; and He took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross. 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them in a public display, triumphing over them in Him. 16 Therefore do not judge your brothers in food or drink, or in respect of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the body is Christ. 18 I do not want to reward you with humility and reverence for angels, which I did not see when I was walking in the image of the flesh, 19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom all the body, supported and knit together by its joints and ligaments, increases the glory of God. 20 If then you have died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though you were living in the world, do you consider yourselves to be living in the world, 21 do not touch, do not taste, do not touch, 22 all things that are the ruin of the flesh, according to the commandments and teachings of men? 23 which is the word of wisdom in self-respect and humility and self-control, not in the honor of any one for the gratification of the flesh.

TO COLOSSIANS 3
1 If you have been raised up to Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death, therefore, your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry. 6 For because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the children of disobedience. 7 In which you also once walked, when you lived in them. 8 But now you also put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another. Put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of him who created him. 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free; but Christ is all and in all. 12 Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; 13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against anyone; just as Christ also forgave you, so also do you. 14 And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be joyful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Ihsou, giving thanks to God and the Father through him. 18 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, so that they do not become discouraged. 22 Servants, obey in everything your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God. 23 And whatever you do, work at it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men, 24 for you know that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he who does wrong will receive what he has done wrong; and there is no partiality.

TO COLOSSIANS 4
1 Masters, treat your servants justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being alert in it with thanksgiving; 3 Praying with all your heart for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains; 4 That I may make it known, as He sees me speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward those outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, knowing how you ought to answer each person. 7 Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord, will make known to you all my affairs. 8 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that he may know your state and exhort your hearts. 9 With Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. All of you know these things. 10 Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas, concerning whom you received instructions; if he comes to you, welcome him; 11 and Ihsou who is called Justus, those who are of the circumcision; these alone are fellow workers for the kingdom of God, who have been a comfort to me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, greets you, always striving for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness that he has a great zeal for you, and for those at Laodicea and for those at Hierapolis. 14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas greet you. 15 Greet the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and Nympha and the church in his house. 16 And when this letter is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you also read the letter from Laodicea. 17 And say to Archippus, See that you fulfill the ministry which you have received in the Lord. 18 The handshake of Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.
