2 TIMOTHY 1 1 Paul, an apostle of Ihsou Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Ihsou, 2 To Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Ihsou our Lord. 3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a clear conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day, 4 desiring to see thee, remembering thee with tears, that I may be filled with joy, 5 being called to remembrance of the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy mother Lois and thy mother Eunice, and being persuaded that it is in thee also. 6 For which cause I put thee in remembrance to stir up the gift of God, which is in thee through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. 8 Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but serve with all diligence the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Ihsou before the world began: 10 but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Ihsou Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For which cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed against that day. 13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which are in Christ Ihsou. 14 Guard the good deposit that was committed unto thee by the Sacred Spirit which dwelleth in us. 15 You know this, that all they which are in Asia are turned away from me, of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. 16 The Lord gave mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain. 17 But when he was in Rome, he sought me out more earnestly, and found me. 18 The Lord granted him to find mercy from the Lord that day. And you know very well what he did at Ephesus. 2 TIMOTHY 2 1 You therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Ihsou. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 3 Therefore endure hardship as a good soldier of Ihsou Christ. 4 No one who serves in the army entangles himself in the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him. 5 And even if he competes in them, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully. 6 He sees the farmer working hard and being the first to share in the fruits. 7 I say this, that the Lord give you all wisdom. 8 Remember Ihsou Christ, raised from the dead, of the seed of David, according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer hardships, even to chains, as a criminal; but the word of God is not slandered. 10 For this reason I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Ihsou with eternal glory. 11 The saying is trustworthy. For if we die together, we will also live together. 12 If we endure, we will also reign together. If we deny, he also denies us. 13 If we believe, he remains faithful; he cannot deny himself. 14 Remember these things, charging him before the Lord not to argue about things that are unprofitable, to the destruction of the hearers. 15 Study to present yourself approved to God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and empty talkers, for they will advance to more and more ungodliness. 17 And their word, like gangrene, corrupts the law; of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 who concerning the truth have denied, saying that the resurrection is past already, and overthrow the faith of some. 19 The foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, The Lord knows those who are with him, and, Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of stone, and those for honor and those for dishonor. 21 If you therefore cleanse yourself from these, you will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 Flee from worldly desires, but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But refuse to befriend the foolish and unlearned, knowing that they breed strife. 24 And the Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle unto all, admonished, patient, 25 first correcting those that oppose themselves: if God perhaps will give them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. 2 TIMOTHY 3 1 But this will happen, because in the last days perilous times will come. 2 For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, unholy, without self-control, without self-control, without love of goodness, 4 traitors, traitors, headstrong, heady, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And these turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive women, laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth, men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall not proceed further: for their folly shall be manifest to all, as theirs also was. 10 But you have followed my teaching, instruction, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience, 11 persecutions, sufferings, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; persecutions I endured; and in every way the Lord delivered me. 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Ihsou will be persecuted. 13 Evil men and impostors will come and go, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you continue in the things you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you learned them, 15 and that from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Ihsou. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 TIMOTHY 4 1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Ihsou Christ, who is to judge the living and the dead by his appearing and his kingdom, 2 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they will turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned aside unto fables. 5 But you, be a cloud in all things, suffer affliction, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. 6 For I am already being spent, and the time of my examination has come. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. 8 Therefore there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all who have loved his appearing. 9 Do your best to come to me quickly. 10 For Demas has deserted me, having loved this present age, and has gone to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Luke alone is with me. Take Mark with you, for he is useful to me for the ministry. 12 But I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus. 13 The criminal whom I left at Troas with Carpus, when you come, bring also the books, and especially the parchments. 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: 15 Whom also keep thou, for he greatly opposed our words. 16 At my first defense no man stood with me, but all forsook me: let it not be reckoned unto them. 17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear. I was rescued from the lion's mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil work and will save me into his heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. 19 Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. 20 Erastus remained at Corinth, but Trophimus I left sick at Miletus. 21 Be careful before winter comes. Eubulus, Pudis, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers greet you. 22 The Lord Ihsou Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
